Watch my rock polish process. I also took before and after photos! They were polished in a rock tumbler over a couple of months.
Appreciate your sub! / @rockhuntermark

Nice job. Try doing 2 or 3 loads in the course grit before moving forward so you can fill the drum to maximum capacity for the finer grits. That will save money on the cost of the finer grits and time too.. Also do some reaseach on buying grits in bulk from places that sell material for tombstone polishing or other businesses like that. Those little jars of grit cost a fortune!

@@jenseaglasssoul2824 I would research places that sell to tombstone places or people who polish granite counter tops etc. It has to be out there.

Wow, they turned out Beautifully, such a variety of Beautiful Stones, it’s awesome you’re still able to utilize a tumbler your grandma gave you such a long time ago, the whole process is really cool, I’ve always wanted to get a tumbler and try this, I’ve been finding a variety of Beautiful Stones lately but I’m not good at identifying them, found a blue looking stone recently like I’ve never seen before, I bet it would look Beautiful Tumbled, btw is that your own line of Rock Hunter shirts or do you purchase them somewhere? Pretty Cool, I’d like to get me one of those, Thanks For Sharing Mark, GL&HH 👊🏹

My favorite one was the black & white swirl. Amazing how different they are after a month of tumbling. I have a Harbor Freight tumbler I've never used... 2- Questions: Are the rocks safe to put into your fish tanks ? & Are there any natural things you can use as grits to polish the rocks ? Thank you & really enjoyed the video !! :~)

Hi Mark, I have a question. You said 2 Tbsp for each pound of rock, I've followed the instructions for my 2 different tumblers and they say 1 Tbsp per pound. Is it better to use 2 Tbsp instead of just 1? I'm still new at this, so any help is appreciated. Thanks 👍

Hi. I recently started drumming beach stones from the Baltic Sea. I'm curious how many ounces of grid you use for a 3lb drum in each step? Greetings from Germany
@RockHunterMark
@RockHunterMark Жыл бұрын
It varies for each kind of grit. 2 tablespoons per pound for coarse and medium, 1.5 tablespoons per pound for pre polish and 1 tablespoon per pound for polish. This could vary depending on brand of grit.
