What began as a professional profile of influential audio designer Gilbert Yeung, becomes the story of personal truth and acceptance. When Yeung, founder of Blue Circle Audio, chose to close the company after being burnt out by the industry, a timely friendship with a fellow audiophile within the industry allows him to open up about the true identity that he has kept hidden for the majority of his life.
Our film tells the story of a Canadian from Hong Kong who has spent the last 30+ years building up his globally successful audio company, Blue Circle, in Innerkip, Ontario, since immigrating in 1987. The story takes place between Innerkip and Chatham, Ontario, where the cutting-edge audio products are designed and manufactured.
“Society and culture have evolved, and it is time to introduce Angela to the world. Angela has always been a part of me, but only allowed to peek out on certain occasions. It is in fact Angela that has been the driving force behind my designs all along”
