Thanks. I am not an American by any means, but I understand the horror of a civil war: incredible brave men can be found on BOTH sides of the battlefield.

Thanks for the video. I wrote a leadership paper on Miles for my MA in Military Studies, 25 years ago. Not a West Pointer, but tough, a forward thinker and highly successful.

What am awesome man. And our own history has failed to recognize him. I hope that whomever wins the auctions for his items, will allow them to be on display somewhere that they can be seen.

Serving my country was my greatest honor. I wish someone would have presented nice rifles to me :). I'm currently reviving an old Win95 that lived a hard life into a one like the Hegemony rifle. Just won't have the fancy walnut. All handmade three piece stock, front sight, butt plate, and rust bluing. I think I will also checker the stock.

Nelson Miles should get much more recognition than Custer. Custer mainly fought for personal glory. Miles only fought for his country.

Known to the first people of the northern plains as Bear Coat Miles. He was fair as he could be regarding the Nez Perce and their very sad story

A man of such meritorious service should have a tank or APC named after him or something.

Beautiful firearms and bladed weapons. A rather generous (to the US) interpretation of the “Indian Wars.”

He was the butcher of Native Indians who are today's Native Americans. Even after the wars were over treaties were still broken. The black hills lands beloved to the Sioux. This was in accordance there was a treaty with U. S. Government back then. But gold was found and the U. S. Government back then went to remove the Sioux because in their words they were savages and they were a nuisance. The next step was to kill every Native Indian including men, women, and children. This was the era of genocide. I read in the history of our great nation. But unfortunately there are periods of our history where there was horrific and unhumane periods. Thank God! Our nation today has grown to a better nation. There are still old issues but we're better as human beings.
