My favorite thing about this channel is how it brings to light just how important instrumentation is to the meaning of a song. Not discounting the lyrical genius of Red Hot Chili Peppers or any of the other legends covered, but sometimes singling out the sounds from each instrument can bring out a new energy from the music. Fantastic camera angles, a song like this really shows how you can make a guitar shine when it isn't the most prominent instrument. I'm a fat-fingered bass player but have always loved and appreciated John Frusciante's work. He knows how to make a guitar sing and this is such a fantastic representation. If you get a good Epiphone around 500-600$ you will get much better value and just as good detail as a much much more expensive Gibson. Also quality control these days is a hit and miss for Gibson. I wouldn't go buy a Gibson unless you go try it out yourself in a store and make sure it's a really great instrument. Look used for both, some older Epiphones are amazing.

Hi, I have a Gibson LP Studio from 2011 and I love it BUT in the end it's just a name. Especially nowadays, prices are way too expensive and quality control average... I tried a few Epiphone, they can be pretty close to Gibson, they can be great even. But you should buy it in a store, to avoid any imperfections that may occur on some models. And you know, on the cheaper models, if you simply change the pickups and get your guitar perfectly set by a professional, you will have pretty much the same tone, playability etc
