A lot of bands went down during Covid. But these Cumbia Norteno bands from TX put in work keeping songs and videos coming. Props for helping eachother out with all the collabs with other TX artists. Puro Adelante

What work? All these bands are just playing cover songs made famous from other bands. Grupo Secretto, Tejano 281, De Parranda, Krazy Pimp and, la Fiebre Looka can't make any good original songs. They're just playing songs from other bands to get radio airplay, become famous and get money for doing so. I don't respect that. If they had any real talent they would make good original music and stop ripping off songs from other bands.

@@mariolopez3728 Can’t argue with those facts. A lotta good covers. MX makes bangers. 🤷🏽‍♂️ But I think they will be around longer than the 10 yrs Banda Tejana was around. But I always say no one does covers like TX 🤣

@03hiredgun31 I don't mind the occasional cover song....1 maybe 2 songs per album....but these bands are playing nothing but cover songs! Could you imagine a female singer releasing an album with nothing but cover songs made famous by Selena, Laura Canales, Elsa Garcia, Elida Reyna, Shelly Lares, Stefani Montiel, etc.? I wouldn't respect that. I'd give her credit for singing these songs by Tejano legends, but that's it. Cover songs are great if you're playing these songs at a wedding or at a quinceañera....but not go out on tour and play these songs made famous by other bands. Like I said, if these bands were really talented, they'd write their own songs, made their own music and then record them and release them and let's see how really good they are!

@@mariolopez3728 They doing pretty good for themselves. Selena legendary for sure. Maybe even Limite or Sparx. Them other nobodies not so much. They had there little 5 or 10 year run. So I guess like you I’m lil bias. Not a fan of Banda Tejana. They had a few good ones. But it’s dead. And Conunto still banging covers too. But not dead.

My opinion Secreto has fallen of big time. Ever since Mariano left. They fallen off the map. At the same time Mariano ain't hitting either. They both need each other.

@@CarlosMiller-bs6jl In this biz momentum is everything and Mariano leaving broke the huge momentum that they could have kept going on for a longer and much more lucrative journey. I don’t know if Mariano coming back would revive the momentum but you never know. 🤷‍♂️

I agree w u as far as that same sound, but in my opinion Secretto has made excellent music w Javi, its a different sound, different flavor, but i think ppl should give the new Secretto a chance... the Mariano and Secrerto era is done either way
