I will forever love JT he was in my state of Nebraska recently and we had some devastating flooding people lost everything, homes, crops, livestock. He donated part the proceeds of the concert that night to Nebraska plus his own money. His management company and concert promoter matched his donation he is an amazing dude!! There’s a bit of a theory that JT kind of held back a bit to guarantee that the spotlight was on Chris, although I think most would agree that it was absolutely not necessary if he did. This was definitely the moment when the rest of America, outside of the Nashville community, found out who Chris Stapleton is. Justin has country roots. Chris Stapleton is such a class of his own. And he was making a good living just being a songwriter in Nashville before he went out on his own. JT says he stalked Stapleton and his wife until they performed. And now they have a single together that’s really good. You don’t have to fit into only one genre of music. JT can fit in to many, as can Chris.

That is because sometimes what other people think you should want is really not what YOU want. I think she is happy with the situation just the way it is. She gets to sing and perform but also, I think she prefers that he be out front. I feel sure that if she wanted her name up in lights he would gladly put it up there for her. In other words, I don't think that her lack of having her name announced means anything to HER. Just because a bunch of loud feminists both now and in the past want to make a big deal about women being credited, don't mean that is what WOMEN want. My impression of the entire relationship is that SHE is the driving force behind it all (in the background) anyways. She is Boss Lady, in other words.

Never heard Tennessee Whiskey's original version, only Chris's, not a country music listener myself but the moment I heard it on KZbin, this live version actually then his VEVO music video I fell in love with it. It’s one of the greatest performances on an awards show and a great story of how it came to happen. Chris told his wife that he was a little nervous about doing this show and she told him to invite one of his friends to perform with him. Justin, who has deep Tennessee roots, was a fan long before anyone knew who Chris was. Stapleton is his own genre: the nicest guy in the business with the best voice in the business, the best songwriting chops and guitar playing chops. He met his wife Morgane when they were on the same label. They now have four kids. Her voice is also pretty stunning.. Google Morgane Stapleton's wicked version of "You are my Sunshine". What she does to an old Appalachian classic is remarkable.
