If you listen to the original John's Children's single Chris Townsen does play like Keith Moon on it. Also he filled in for Keith Moon on a tour in 1967/68 when Keith Moon was ill. Finally, the band toured Germany with The Who in 1967 and we're nearly thrown off because they out-Whoed The Who with their riotous behaviour.
