only vito can play it like vito. I switch it up when I hear new things and notes, etc. I just saw a video clip of lonely nights and he tends to play up the neck more than I would have thought. I think there are many notes that I am not hitting. I wish there was a good video showing Vito playing it. But oh well, just have fun with it and go with what you know!

@rockfreakmccool Thanks for the comps. On a good day, sitting down, all warmed up I can play the solo very well. When I'm jamming in the garage like this I can't play it so well. LOL I think Vito was a master at exploiting his strengths, which was whimsical and melody. I don't consider him a shredder. Also, while I feel his rhythm and leads definitely plays homage to EVH, I also hear a lot of Randy Rhoads passages in his soloing....RR another one of my all time faves

Journey found a singer to bring back the feeling of their classic songs for their fans. I would love to see Mike Tramp do the same for lead guitar in White Lion . Vito is amazing but not available.
