Just go for it, I started uploading videos just weeks after I bought the game and my first guitar and it didn't sound that great. Everybody gotta start somewhere! And it's fun to have some recordings of how you have progressed over the years.

You never know! :D When the album was released, some songs got blocked and some didn't. Then after a month or so they started allowing all songs to be uploaded without any blocks.

How do you freehand mute an open note? Like at 2:53

Just mute lightly with your left hand while you strum on the strings. For that one, just hold the chord shape so your index also touches all the strings but don't press it down. Then you just do a quick up > down-strum and when you strum down you press down on the notes. All you want is the string to make some noise that isn't an open note or a harmonic, it's very easy to get down.

It comes with practice, you don't really move your hand when you switch between them. Just tilt your palm a bit.
