If you really wanna know how to play this the way they play it, at 1:16, where it goes from fret 3 chord to open, you bend 3 a little bit, its how the real song sounds, you arent bending there and it just sounds kinda flat and no feel to it. But I guess the game doesnt say it

+AscensionUSA only the lead guitar plays the bend and yes i know this is lead but in the 2014 version the lead guitar plays the bend and the rhythm guitar plays the bar.

I don't have any magic tip for that part sorry. The best I can advise is playing it in the accelerator at 100% mastery with lower speed, bewteen 80% and 90%. Just make sure you get all the notes right and get confortable with the alternate picking and the fingering. Once you feel confortable, add in speed increments until you reach 100% speed. That's the usual routine I use when I learn a solo. I also like to memorize all the notes and repeat it unplugged while watching a movie.

I'm a beginner and I love guitars, so should I buy Rocksmith 2014 or go back to Guitar Hero? And Guitar hero should I buy, I have a PS3 and a PC xD Plus I think Rocksmith will be only for next gen consoles, so I wont have a chance to play that game ;\

Rocksmith is only for the ps3 xbox 360 and pc, and i would recommend rocksmith 2014 over guitar hero any day! Guitar hero is more a game than a learning tool, and rocksmith is a learning tool disquised as a game :)

If you're a beginner, damn well better pick up Rocksmith. It's great practice and it's pretty fun. But we don't always feel like practicing of course, sometimes we may just wanna screw about with an arcade-like toy. If that's the case, pick up Guitar Hero.

congrats on getting the game. to answer your question, yes. i have the xbox 360 edition and a7x songs are there. ps3 has them as well cause my friend has this song for ps3. and buying it for the original rocksmith will automatically be available in rocksmith 2014 :)

Good run mate. You done better than said score, its just rocksmith is shit at detecting drop D tunings, especially the palm mutes for some reason.

Just a suggesstion though mate. You should utilise the tone designer on the game to get a better tone. I dont know why they made an A7X distortion sound more like crunch from a Fender 59' Tweed or some shit. If you take the authentic song tone and throw a tube screamer in the pre-pedals it'll give you a good signal boost for better sustains on those bends in the solo etc. Same for RS2014, they never seemed to improve on their heavier range of tones which is weird because the tools are there and there are some great pedals and EQ's to put to use.

Im thinking about buying this as a Christmas present for me and my wife to start learning how to play our guitars with, and I can tell by how good you are that you have had some practice... But my question is do you feel like you could play the song as well on your guitar just hooked up to an amp without playing the game? like can you remember the notes by sound? my hope is that after playing the game and mastering a song or 2 I would be able to remember how to play them, but is that a hard transition?

You should think about Rocksmith 2014, not this, it is much better. It is hard to remember whole song after few playings (MUCH harder than from tabs) but this game also have Master Mode where you play song without screen tips. So if you master song you should can repeat it on your amp. The sound is much worse than guitar with amp but i like this game for this music and on-screen tabs (which i like more than standard tabulature) and guitarcade also (guitar-practice-like-playing-arcade-games, you learning with fun).
