Thinking about getting a job or two this summer and saving up all the money to buy an s2k from auction and fixing it up. Been in love with this car for I dont know how long. I stopped thinking about it for a while but its like the s2k bug woke up again and bit me even harder. Im pretty tall though and im hoping a hardtop gets me at least an extra inch or 2 of clearance 😅

The name of the company is called Rockstar Garage, Or RSG. Im sure their is a company that makes them for the cobra, we will have to look into that!

Screws on Japanese cars are not phillips head, they are J.I.S screws, (Japanese industrial standard). The heads are different if you look closely. Using a Phillips screwdriver will damage J.I.S screws. You can buy them on Amazon.

This top is a RSG mugen style 2x2 Carbon fiber. On their website its the "mugcf2prm"

Do you have any issues with squeaking or anything? I heard hard tops squeak pretty bad, how do you avoid this?

Watch the video after this one. I had the same issue with squeaking and it was due to the placement of my weather strips. Once I corrected it, it was reduced a lot and after a month I hardly ever got any squeaky. With that being said, The problem that I’m facing now is The weather seals on the windows don’t lineup all the way. Meaning there is still a small gap where the window and the weather seal is. This has been resulting in rain sometimes dripping in. Not much, just some drops. I think the workaround for this is to order the OEM weatherstrips. They are thicker

Better than Forbidden hardtop? I know they got 40% tint to there lexan window. Does Rockstar have that too?

Hard to say. One of my buddies has a forbidden hardtop and he hasnt had any complaints with it. The RSG hardtop that i got has a 40% tint on it as well. Might even be more.. Ill see if I can get him over to my house one day and we can do a comparison.

It really is. I can see what you mean though. By the looks of it it should have a pretty bad blind spot but like you said, its really small. And because of that, and the way i adjust my mirrors, I really dont notice it.

And i will say the rear window is pretty big. So much so that I can most of the times see the rears of other cars in my right lane when i glance back to double check to see if i am good to get into the other lane
