Yes! A bit too many flowers! Dimash thinks so too. He's asked his fans to please rather donate to some charities that he supports. [ links on his site ] The flowers that he does get he donates to local Children's Hosptials and Elder Care homes in whichever city he's performing in at the time. He's a good guy, as well as a great singer. Yeah a Kazak singer, singing in French to a Russian audience! He actually speaks around 4 languages and has learnt songs - phonetically - in around 17! Every new country he goes to he tries to learn a favourite song for his new audience in their language. (You should watch his Armenian one he did earlier this year and how the audience responded!} The important thing to remember - for aspiring singers - is that to make something LOOK this effortless - requires a LOT of effort. Dimash has been in formal training with his voice - daily - with the best vocal teachers in the land, so, at this performance that's 20 years already! And he works on constantly improving. So it's unlikely that anyone on the planet is going to catch up with him! But that's not the poiint. The point is that Dimash is Inspiring. He's an excellent role model to 'Be the best that YOU can be' - with whatever talents YOU have. [ And clearly YOU Petie have Talent! Keep going! ] Despite now having hundreds of millions of fans, he also doesn't have a great big 'I'm a Celebrity!' ego, and is always respectful and complimentary about all the artists - and whole production crew - he works with. That's very important. In these days of 'me me ME!' no matter what your talent; if you don't respect and treat others decently - you can't expect to gain respect yourself. Enjoy your continued journey through Dimash Land!

Wow, your son is also very talented. He has a beautiful voice🤩👍and is a very nice boy. Dimash sang this song as a guest at the Slavic Bazaar in Belarus 2018. It’s an International Festival of Arts and a contest for young singers, which he won in 2015. SOS is a song in the rock-opera „Starmania“ from 1978. The first who presented this song was the French singer and songwriter Daniel Balavione. SOS was Dimashs‘ first performance of the China competition (in 2017) and was his first appearance in this show. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. All the singers invited to this show are already well-known artists in China who have already won awards. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card and the youngest in the history of this show. They became aware of him because he had already won some important competitions in Kazakhstan and Belarus, among other countries. He was still completely unknown in China. Actually, it was intended that he would only have 1 or 2 appearances. But it came completely different. When he woke up the next morning after his first performance of SOS he was a megastar in China and even found bodyguards outside his hotel room. SOS’ first video had 600 million views when it aired. He was just 22 years old at the time. I think it was very difficult for him at the beginning. You have to imagine, until this competition in China in 2017 he never was alone. Dimash, like many other Kazakhs, has the tradition of living under one roof with the whole family all together. He lives with his grandparents, parents, a sister, a brother an other relatives in the same house. And now he had to go to China alone, didn‘t know the country, didn‘t know the language, didn‘t know the traditions or livestyle and up to that point he spoke (almost) no English, except maybe „Thank you“ and „My name is Dimash“. Only one interpreter came along and that at the age of 22. He was almost a kid to me then (my son is 20 so I can imagine…). The other competitiors might not have taken Dimash seriously at first because of his age and that they didn’t know him but that quickly changed after the performance of SOS, as you can see. Through his honest, cheerful and open nature, he found friends very quickly. Contacts that still exist today. He has come out of retirement to work with Dimash. You’ll often see him accompanying Dimash on the piano. The two have no contract. Their cooperation is based more on mutual trust. It’s more like a father/son relationship. Olimpico is a masterpiece that Igor Krutoy wrote for Dimash’s vocal skills. This song and especially this performance from this Arnau concert is my absolute favourite🥰. I think this version is the best, because his performance is so intense and breathtaking. The light show, the background dancers. Everything. With this song in this version I have gasping breath all the time. The way he represents himself on stage, the hand movements. I think he has incredibly beautiful hands🤭(and apparently many cameramen think so too, since many of the camera shots during his performances very often only show his hands. Sometimes it seems as if he is conducting himself. This is really fascinating). And the facial expression, the look. There he looks so demanding and commanding. In my opinion, this version of Olimpico is one of the most impressive performances ever. If you don't know what the song is about, you'd think he was going to war and is calling his army to a lost battle 😅! It’s absolutely stunning. And I don't even mean the vocal part, but also his stage presence. The whole package. Oh wow I’m starting to rave again…🤤 Sorry but I can’t help it🥺. Young Mister Rockstar is a ROCKSTAR, man! 1) He's going to have one helluva stage presence (he's already well on his way) to go along with his solid musical foundations (his internal metronome is really good, on top of the "mere" ability to play a guitar - I've played piano for 44 years and classical pianists never get a bassist or a drummer to keep them reined in... so I notice that it's a common issue many not-classical guitarists really have to wrestle with as they learn)... and I bet "that voice is going to serve him well" will prove to be an understatement. 👍 2) I'm a 50yr old Canadian, and when I was your son's age it was full-on unacceptable to be a nerd (no self-respecting kid would spend time in the same ROOM as a nerd if they had any choice in the matter, in the town I lived in in the 80s) so I wanted to jump out of my seat and cheer for your young multi-linguist. I know it's not even anything to remark on anymore if a person "likes" what in my childhood was considered "nerdy" stuff and that fact still just brings such joy to my inner 10-yr-old D&D player. My own daughter was born in 2001, and by the time she was in school, it was already this way and I was *so* thankful that that vector of bullying has been so massively lessened for kids. Straight-faced, 100% serious kid: "And I speak Elvish and Dwarvish and some Orc" - no hint of any thought showing on his face that it could possibly be silly/unserious/lame to claim to speak an invented language. ROCK ON, KID! IT'S GODDAMN METAL TO SPEAK TOLKIEN (or Star Trek or any other "fantasy" world's) LANGUAGES! And: language is language. If an author/whoever has created a language that can be used to express complex thoughts in multiple tenses... LEARNING IT IS STILL LIGHTING UP ALL THE AREAS OF THE BRAIN that learning to speak German or Swahili or Japanese would. 3) I love how you were so careful to point out Dimash's confidence and stage presence, even more than his vocals. Your son was *obviously* going to be blown away by his voice, so the actual important lesson for an aspiring young performer to pick up from seeing Dimash on stage is his showmanship. ..... Anyway, great idea to bring your young rockstar on to "repeat" the SOS reaction. It wasn't lazy content creation, it wasn't "cashing in" on Dimash's popularity - it was content WELL worth the audience's time, I think. And you're also modeling some solid fathering, for anyone watching who's going to become a parent in the future. That's not inconsequential, and it can only happen as a byproduct of the video already "providing" other worthwhile-to-your audience content.
