I have a question. At about 7 min into your video you say to reduce patient dose ,you need to reduce KVP. I have a another version of the book and she still says the opposite. For registry purposes ,if it's question,what should I respond ?

Angie MORALES-PENA - To be super clear, if we’re talking about diagnostic radiography, increased kVp can reduce patient dose. For CT, it’s controversial. Romans claims (without references) that increased kVp will reduce patient dose. Research suggests otherwise for the reasons discussed in the video. The ARRT is aware of the controversy and should be tailoring the registry accordingly. Long story short, you’re asking a question that they will most likely NOT ask on the registry. At least not until there’s more agreement among sources. It’s lonely out on the cutting edge. Hope this helps. Thanks for you question!
