Hi, your videos are amazing! Can you talk about how to extract Zeff numbers from dual-energy images?

Thank you! Honestly, I'm not really up on Zeff numbers. I'll try to put something together in the next couple of months and reply here once it's posted.

Het got another question for you. This quiz question says: _Which of the following interactions between a photon and tissue result in emission of a subatomic particle from an atom?_ _A. Photoelectric effect_ _B. Compton scatter_ _C. Photodisintegration_ _D. Classic scatter_ It seems to me that answers A, B, and C are all correct. My understanding is that the photoelectric effect and compton scatter result in the emission of an electron from atoms in tissue, whereas photodisintegration results in the emission of a proton, neutron, or alpha particle. But there can only be one right answer according to Boardvitals, and that’s C. That would mean the photoelectric effect and compton scatter don’t result in the emission of a subatomic particle from an atom. How can that be true? Aren’t electrons subatomic particles? aren't they emitted from atoms when the photoelectric effect and compton scatter occur? I'm so confused

If they're only accepting one right answer, I think they're trying to get you to say C photodisintegration, but the question writer forgot that electrons are subatomic particles too. Every answer but D is right.
