I was just a kid when it hit theaters, but I remember so, so well what an incredible phenomenon it was. The whole country was lit by it. Only movies like _Star Wars_ or _Jaws_ come close to what I'm talking about, and I'm not sure _Rocky_ doesn't take the cake. Yes, Star Wars was bigger, higher-grossing, and also lit up pop culture like nothing else. _Rocky_ was like that, too, though, and the feeling was just so... _concentrated..._ _potent._ It was really something. Of course, nothing like it happens anymore, and probably can't ever again.

Rocky is my favorite movie. This movie became an iconic film, it became an instant classic, and won 3 Academy awards. To this day the theme is being heard in commercials and who can forget the scene where Rocky gulps down 5 raw eggs and drinks the whole glass. I am convinced that scene started America on a health kick back in the mid 70s.

(Mind u I had two girls first, and literally thought there was ZERO chance I could make a boy)… we had number three on the way… The one baby we didn’t find out the gender before delivery… I was for sure certain it was a girl. This movie brought me to a completely different atmosphere... The calm world and the character of Rocky himself was good.... I liked the idea that you can do the impossible and beat those above you if you believe in your dream and strive hard.... I loved the music.. I loved Sylvester Stallone's performance And how did he perform this character with all sincerity and creativity .... The negative that I saw in the movie .. The punches when fighting are very clear that they do not touch his face and it is very clear that they do not hit each other, so this is a negative for the director .... The second negative is that the movie Most of the time it made me feel empty, as if nothing was happening, and in some scenes I wish there was music... Overall the movie is great, and I loved it a lot. My rating for that is 8/10 🔥👑✨🥀

Oh, good. They didn't just cover the relationship between Rocky and Apollo. They _also_ covered the relationship between Rocky and Adrian. This franchise is, all too often, misunderstood as being a movie about _boxing._ This misconception keeps people _away_ from it. It's not, though. It's a love story in which one of the lovers happens to be a _boxer._
