Hi you actually made this look better than the finished movie 🍿. On Retrospection I would say Rocky V is underrated and misunderstood. As due to studio meddling the final product was purely executed as the germ of the idea was good. Stallone has intended this to be the Last Rocky, as after the final fight with Tommy. Rocky was supposed to succumb to his wounds in the ambulance at the end with his wife Adrian by his side. This was supposed to have shown how the Character had come full circle back to his roots. There is a Director's cut that has never seen the light of day.

I’ve grown fond of Rocky V over time, but I’m glad Stallone discarded the original idea for the ending... Rocky Balboa (2006) is his defining work after-all.

Is this the same ending where Rocky forgives Tommy? I know there was a cut where, I think, after Rocky uppercuts Duke, he walks over to Tommy, who looks away in shame, and either helps him off the ground or does a "all's forgiven" head nod.
