It was Gabe, or it was Gabe, and Alex, and maybe him too - as it was, he still *barely* got himself and Alex to cover

Yeah. Gabe was probably heavy. There was no time to cut the rope from alex and pull him up. He did what had to be done and I stand by that.

@@KiaraWilliamsX Any other ranger or first responder would have done the same. It's entirely possible, even likely, he was already dead or mortally wounded. He took like a 20" boulder to the face and then fell off a cliff at least 50-75 feet, which was tied around his waist. He didn't land on an outcropping or he wouldn't have been dragging them, so when he stopped, he took all that force through his spine and abdominal cavity. Notice the distinct lack of cries for help, or even screams or moans.

God Life is Strange never fails to absolutely wreck me. I'm watching this completely blind and unlike you guys I had no idea what was coming. That ending hit me out of nowhere, but that whole last scene was so dread inducing. This game is beautiful so far, I'm so excited to see where it goes.

Coming back and watching other LPs of this game after having played it myself is so interesting, namely seeing everyone's varied choices and their rationale behind them...but I'm also really happy to see that basically everyone whose LPs I've watched so far have one pretty solid constant -- that they're not only gonna call Mac out on his bullshit, but that they're going to do so with ZERO HESITATION when the choice thing comes up, haha.

That's 'cause Mac has some toxic masculinity issues to work out & what's more, after the wake, he's willing to grab Riley & [Mac 'n] cheese it/leave town, since Typhon Mining was having him secretly monitored and what's more, having to lie to keep paying his bills led to practically the whole town hating him, Riley thinking he's a murderer when he's not entirely at fault for what happened, and his thoughts turning to suicide as a result.

@@CacophonyandDiscord In edition, Rhea (the name for the unscheduled blast at the old mining site that was covered up by the very explosion that killed Gabe) is the name for the mother of the Titans (the ancient Greek giants -- elemental or otherwise -- that attempted to attack Mount Olympus before Zeus imprisoned them, rather than the DC Comics team of junior superheroes) and Typhon is basically likened to Chronos (the cannibalistic father of the Ancient Greek pantheon of gods).

I am new to your channel (like & subscribed). I really enjoyed how you explored this game more than anyone I have seen. Good commentary on the music, Your attention to art quality detail such as the eyes and even the reflections on Alex's glasses. And of course you appreciated the massive improvement in art overall. Plus you just had damn fun playing the game. Tons of fun to watch! I am glad you recognized how at fault Ethan was. That is one thing that kills me about this series and I should probably shut up for future spoilers, but in this episode at least: We KNOW this kid is old enough to read the signs plastered all over the city about the planned blast. If he can't tell the difference between real danger and the make-believe of a comic that he himself makes up... he needs either greater supervision, professional help, or both.

Or he's just a kid. Remember, even less than 40 years ago, children were given leeway to basically explore their surroundings -- including dangerous places where no child should honestly be -- without any real supervision. So, Ethan going up to the old mining site & then to the ravine to live out his comic book fantasy in real-life really shouldn't have been that much of a surprise. In fact, given that this IS a _Life Is Strange_ game (which thusly means Ethan needing to be rescued from his own hyperactive imagination ought to have been expected from the very start), it would've been a bigger shock if he didn't go to the mine or the ravine, but then there would've needed to have been another way for Gabe to die, since the trailers promoting the game's release spoiled Gabe's inevitable death for players well ahead of time.

It was kind of a given. I mean, Deputy Sheriff Jason Pike wanting to take Alex (or both Chen siblings if you picked the "Avoid More Trouble" option rather than "Calling Out Mac's Bullshit") to the police station for questioning (so soon after Alex's powers caused her to viciously punch in Riley Lethe's toxic boyfriend Mac Louden's face after Mac basically assaulted Alex's brother Gabe for a simple misunderstanding) was already kind of suspect, since Pike hadn't even met Alex yet until that point, not to mention that Pike had no valid justification to take Alex in, because he himself wasn't there to see what went down, so the whole matter just degrades into a "He Said, She Said" scenario pitting Mac's falsified version of how things played out against Alex knowing the definitive truth behind what happened. In addition, Mac already has an established track record of being a toxic boyfriend (as Riley tells Alex later, "Ever since the first time Mac lost his shit in front of them, Gabe & Charlotte have been trying to get me to end things with him & after all this, I can see that they were right"), so Alex's recount of events would still come across as more believable than Mac's clear-cut bullshit, even if Alex is still new to town.

Steph was a survivor of Arcadia Bay (LiS: Before the Storm). But the main character is Alex, she comes from the Portland Oregon area, bouncing around foster homes and stuff until she reunites with Gabe at the beginning of this first episode, which is in the fictional town of Haven Springs, Colorado.
