You can see the resentment in the sister, which is understandable. Did you buy her another one to take home? However, I also understand that him wanting to try new is a major accomplishment. I saw a little boy who wanted to try what his big sister had. I would bet he does that to her constantly. I'm just curious if anyone has explained to her how important she is to him. You can tell he looks up to her.

His sister was an only child for 10 years before he came along, so yes, she has unresolved resentment. He is autistic and has food aversions, which means he has a short list of foods he can or is willing to eat. So, no, he doesn't do that often. And no, I didn't buy her another one to take home as he didn't eat all of her pancakes. Add to that, the pancakes are STILL in the refrigerator 3 days later. She didn't want them, she just didn't want HIM to have them! 🤦🏽♀️ #siblingrivalry

@melpark9689 Clearly, you haven't had to interact closely with autistic children. What you are seeing is a very COMMON way some autistic children respond to NEW foods. The rivalry you see between him and his sister is COMMON amongst any siblings. It's OK if you don't get it. A lot of people don't....

The reason for this channel is to show or help people going through the same thing I am. Having TWO autistic children is a challenge. To allow the world a small view of what the world of autism is like doesn't hurt anyone. We can do both....we can focus on life AND clicks!! 😉

His sister would agree....but when he wants to TRY new foods, he can have his way because he doesn't usually TRY ANYTHING new. This was a MAJOR breakthrough for him.

I have tried EVERYTHING. His diagnosing pediatrician said 50% of Rocky's problem is his autism, the other 50% is sheer personality. He likes what he likes. He eats what he eats. And any day he decides to add a new food to his food group, I'll dance and sing and give it to him!!! 😂😂😂😂😂
