Haha I got goosebumps just now watching it. Tony Burton didn’t get enough praise for his performance in this movie. In the new version Stallone put out a couple years ago they show Dukes speech at Apollos funeral. I always thought he should of said more at the funeral. Well he did but it was cut out. Him and Rocky both said more. If you haven’t seen the new version its worth checking out. Some of the stuff like the funeral scene is definitely better and some of the stuff in the original version is better. It’s called Rocky vs Drago: Ultimate Director’s Cut And if you already seen it then nevermind 😂

Are you saved? If you died tonight would you go to heaven or hell? The Gospel, which means the Good News is the news that God Almighty, the Creator came in the flesh as Jesus Christ to take away the sin of the world. The one God is a trinity of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. The Son came and laid down his own life to save ours. His sacrifice on the cross paid the price for our redemption with his own blood. On the third day he rose from dead and offers the gift of salvation and forgiveness to those that repent and trust in him. Although God's creation was created perfect, having no death, sickness and disease, the creation became corrupted through Adam and Eve in them disobeying God. In this rebellion the creation became fallen through the curse of sin and mankind became separated from God. This world is fallen, but God offers reconciliation to him through his provision at the cross. Ultimately God will restore his creation to perfection when he returns but those that who reject his offer of redemption will remain condemned by their sins and go to hell. John 1:1,14 KJV In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and THE WORD WAS GOD. [14] And THE WORD WAS MADE FLESH , and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1:10 KJV He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

2:22 I always liked this scene from Dolph. For the first time in his career he's meeting real opposition. He realizes that Rocky is here for a fight and he's given Rocky his best offense, yet to no avail. The fear is now creeping into Drago's mind and he's trying to figure out how he's going to win. Dolph portrays all these emotions to great effect with his face and body gestures. Good acting. It helps probably he was a competitive fighter in real life.

I've watched this movie more times than I'm proud to admit, but I just zoned in on Duke's commentary after the cut and it's hilarious. "YA HURT HIM! YA HURT HIM! YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!" Ahahaha God bless Tony Burton, he was all in on his character.

....and don't forget his, "DON'T GO DOWN, DON'T GO DOWN!!!" call in the 15th round. I really felt great for him at the end of the fight.

It really hits me when we used to look at apollos trainer as just a regular trainer who trained apollo to destroy our beloved rocky in the first 2 films and now to see him holding rocky up and yelling words of encouragement to his face between rounds like he's trained him for years and has a connection with him as strong as he had with apollo really hits home hard "hes not a machine! Hes a man!" That hits the hardest

I love the scene in the corner. Rocky's side has hope, they see that Drago isn't invincible. Whereas Drago's side who were so assured earlier are now scared. Drago even says that Rocky isn't human. He's never encountered anyone like this before.

Amazing how Rocky learned alil bit from all of his major fights bc @ 1:28-1:30 when Rocky pushed Drago into the ropes, he learned that from Clubber Lane! Just an awesome movie!!

You know what’s seriously overlooked by a lot of folks is how good Tony Burton’s performance was in this movie. He was so inspiring and believable; he honestly made this movie work.

My favorite part, in this movie, was when he and Paulie jumped in the ring and Duke started fighting with Drago's trainer. That part and the part before that I don't think it was for the fight. I think that it was payback for Apollo.

+Dave Agree! Good story arc for Apollo in 4 movies. In 1 though I think he was just playing the game and putting on a show for the fight. In 2 he became a jerk because he took the 1st fight lightly thinking he should have had an easy win. In 3 a great mentor and friend to Rocky. In 4 though the tragic end to great character.

I remember being 10 years old and taping this film on a VHS cassette, and giving it to Adam, my best friend at school. I remember telling him what a great film it was as we walked to the bike compound. We both rode our bikes home, but lived in opposite directions. Not even 1 minute after we parted ways, Adam saw another kid from our school get hit by a train traveling at full speed. I only found out about what had happened the next day at school ny for whatever reason, more than thirty years later, I still remember that afternoon and its connection to Rocky IV clearly.

This scene is the best example that u just need one punch to change your life. This one punch of Rocky , convinced Drago that he is not invinceable.
@cobracurse6 жыл бұрын
The scene reminds me of the part in "300" where King Leonidas throws a spear and ends up cutting King Xerxes in the face. The sight of King Xerxes bleeding from his face destroys Xerxes' image as a "god in human flesh". Here, the bleeding cut on Drago's eyelid pretty much shatters the myth of Drago's "invincibility".
