One of the greatest Heavyweight champions in boxing history! Rocky Marciano's knockouts were absolutely vicious and brutal. His pressure was unrelenting and he's undoubtedly one of the toughest fighters of all time. The Brockton Blockbuster 49-0!

he WAS a heavyweight he actually cut weight and usually fought below 200 pounds because it allowed him to throw more punches he could've fought at 210 but chose not to. Genius

@@highlightsideline8646Rocky Marciano is one of, if not the most disciplined athlete in boxing history, training every day of his career as a boxer, in addition to being extremely strong, tough and well conditioned. If you are all that, you can surely copy parts of his style, although his style was also based on the fact that Rocky Marciano was shorter than most of his opponents.

That's saying Joe Louis isn't a great heavyweight because he barely broke 200 and only 6'1. For the time Rocky made himself the pound for pound heavyweight champion and is definitely top 5 all time too do it.

Tyson (when asked about Rocky) once said that 'his style of boxing wouldn't hold up well enough with modern fighters today.' Also said the same about Jack Johnson. But it would be quite thrilling to see Tyson fight both Rocky and Johnson - all within their prime - using lighter (less padded gloves) worn by earlier fighters back in the dawn of boxing

Never lost a fight at pro but if it's true he never won a single fight in amateur lol he got into the pros by saying he was undefeated, cuz he had never fought as a pro so technically he was undefeated and that's when he learnt he had a knock out punch..... But please correct me if I'm wrong cuz that was on the movie about his life. So I don't know if they changed detail to make the movie more entertaining.. I know in chasing Mavericks, they fully changed alot of jay Moriarty's life from the way it really happened from documentaries about his life

Rocky was between 185lbs and 203lbs as most of his opponents were because there was no cruiserweight division during that time. Archie Moore had Rocky down in the second round and that fight had no standing eight count. But the ref gave Rocky a count and allowed him time. Archie had that fight and would have stopped rocky.....but it was in a racial era. Rocky does not last with the big heavyweights from the late 60's on up.
