Hey Ryan, Awesome tutorial! Question though, when I drop the displace modifier, I get an extreme effect on the riverbed beyond what you have? I went in and decreased the strength, but I am rendering through Optix. Do you think I missed a move?
@RyanKingArt
@RyanKingArt Жыл бұрын
Hmm, maybe try applying the object scale. also make sure you select the objects UV map in the displace modifier.
@Gregory_Harshfield

Object to Scale gets me every time. On another note, you stand by the 3-D Environment class from CG Boost? It looks fun and looks like it really is getting into the weeds.

Hi, great tutorial as always. I don't know if you can help but I have a problem with my 3d objects. So I have a tile set with 7 3d objects and all have one 2k texture that use all the objects and shared one material. When I view the 3d objects from a specific distance or angle emission color from the objects lamp appears like outline at the edges of a different 3d objects for example column of the tile set. I could fix the problem if I separate the emission color with the creation of a second texture that have inside the light source objects. But I was wondering if there is a better way. Thanks.

So after this last starter project I am on I will learn the fundamentals for lighting and animation that I have enough to learn on but what would you recommend for realistic environments? I want to spend more time on animation but I will learn what is necessary if you think I should learn the cg boost course (started blender end of last year) or if i should jump into learning a addon like true terrain or terrain mixer and be fine?

@Ryan King Art yea that’s more of a background to my learning journey but i was asking about other environment courses I should learn as a beginner or if I’d be good with a popular environment addon to get things going. And i would rather spend more time learning animation then environment creation for me personally but still want to create awesome scenes/worlds one day and I am willing to learn what’s needed

Nice render, But there is no interaction or ripple or wave effect on the water when collide with rocks, so i stick with water simulation..
@RyanKingArt

Yes that's true. If you wanted to go for the most amount realism, a fluid sim would be more realistic. However I think this method looks pretty good, and its a lot faster and easier to work with then a fluid sim.

It is just like edge wear wrongly added in a protected area that so many tutorials show. The noobs deserve better....... I really enjoyed the 3 rock textures tut. But this I will skip.
