Be able to run the ball. Hopefully they have some good throwing opportunities and hit them when they are open. Stay out of long 3rd downs. Put pressure on Beck and make it a ball game.

We have the talent this year to win it all but it's going to take a perfect game and a little bit of luck to do it GBO

Nobody knows, but I’d be willing to bet he plays. I’ll also be willing to bet some games are played when it comes to injury reports and who plays and who don’t. Make Georgia prepare for 2 QBs thru the week so it takes away from their normal prep they’d usually have when focusing on one QB.

I live in GA & prob 75% of cfb fans around here are UGA fans. Honestly, they have grown almost apathetic at this point. It was wild to me that NO ONE around me was even complaining last Sat. They were just shrugging saying “eh, same ish different day.” Many are more into the Falcons at this point. I’m not saying they won’t show up Sat night esp considering the fact they haven’t played at home hardly at all & it’s been a year since they had a night game but I really think that if we get a couple of big plays or if we can run the ball effectively & our defense keeps their offense in check, the crowd will be out of it real quick. And as soon as Beck makes a dumb decision, they’ll be booing him cause they ALL want him gone. I could be wrong but I’ve lived in GA my entire life & know this fan base around me. The excitement & enthusiasm just isn’t there this season & I don’t think Kirby has any real control of this team right now. This is coming from some UGA alums I know so take that with a grain of salt. I will say though that even Kirby hasn’t been as fired up in his press conferences this week…not like in 2022. Most of the fans I know feel like they’re out of the playoffs already. Anyway, if Nico plays & as long as our defense plays like they have all year, we will win & Beck will get eaten alive. This is the most optimistic I’ve felt about this game in a very long time. It’s a shame our defense hasn’t gotten the respect they deserve. I think either Dylan will have a game that finally gets him into the Heisman conversation or Nico (if he plays) finally has his break-out game. UT will finally get a win against the last remaining thorn in our side. 31-20 UT. GBO!!

This is the worst-case scenario to be playing Georgia in. Georgia will be seeing blood and wanting revenge. They also know if they lose, they are out of playoffs, and so are we, of we do. Also, we (vols) have problems in our passing game, and we may not even have Nico... and if we do, he won't be 100%. Im proud of what Tennesee has accomplished so far this season, but i dont have a good feeling about this game.

Wanting revenge for what? We haven’t beaten them in 8 years 😂

I agree. I think we get destroyed. Beck will miraculously look like the #1 pick again because that's exactly our luck. Plus the CFP voters hate our guts so a loss Saturday and we're toast. Don't see this going well.

It was kind of dumb to run Sampson so much against Miss. State given the lead/big lead UT had in that game. In this Georgia game, the Vols first need to get another strong game out of their defense. The defense has to play well against a Georgia team that will be jacked up, playing at home. A good defensive performance---which means being tough against the run and pressuring the QB--will give the Vols a chance to win this game, and then it becomes a question of what can the offense do against GA's defense. The Vol offense has been inconsistent, up and down---better at running the football, certainly, then throwing it. Will UT be able to run the ball? Georgia will expect UT to run, and it could be tough to get the ground game going. Even if the Vols can run it some, I think this game will come down to how well Tennessee throws the ball. The Vols need a solid passing game in this contest to keep GA off-balance defensively, to move the chain and to score some points. Ole Miss did a good job of mixing up its plays and threw the ball fairly well against GA, but Dart is a better QB than Nico, at this point, and Ole Miss was playing at home---which was a factor in their good defensive play. Everything is dependent on good line play on both sides of the ball.
