Im impressed young lady. I was a single mom of 2 and got into fire right after school. I wasnt active until I was 32. 6 of my 11 years I was Fire Chief. Our rural area was just like yours. I did EMS 25+ years, SAR and 18 years Law Enforcement. I grew up in central Colo and eastern Ut. I love that some of you younger generation see the wisdom in how you are living. God bless you all.

What a hoot! Mike’s eyes are glazed over like “Really?! We’re doing Q &A all over - AGAIN?!?” 😂 Well, from my perspective, IT’S GREAT to see The Driving Force AKA The Two of You Together! Of your “Log Cabin,” the two of you have created a BEAUTIFUL HOME for All Ten of You - to-date! Thank you for the hours invested in sharing the joys that “make your world go round, and around, and around!” What love, trust, and confidence you share… TY. ~ Original Main Street Mama Psalm 144:11-15 (NASB-1995; KJV) Sat-11/23/2024 @09:47 AM PT USA HAPPY “Thanks!” Giving to All of You! PS. It’s really nice to hear comments from both sides. TY! It’s obvious that Mike has gained a new appreciation, adoration, and respect for Angela’s varied schedules, tasks, and juggling of time and activities as he watches her videos 🤗! Mike couldn’t do what he does without Angela. Angela could not do all she does without Mike. And TOGETHER, they share a wonderful daily influence in the lives of their children! What precious “Rewards” from the LORD! Psalm 127:3-5, KJV

New subscriber here. I'm in Mississippi, so understand the need for Seasons. I dislike the constant humidity, but do enjoy the "3" seasons when they come. Much respect for setting goals and working towards them. Prayers and blessings for your family and the future!!

I'm surely not the only one that saw a mouse or a pet @ 24:56 run back & forth on the counter in background..
@rockymountainhomesteadangela26 күн бұрын
😂😂😂 I had to go back and check that when you said that. That's the top of my sons head! At 24:54 you can see the far left of the screen where he is walking into the room. We have a lot of cats, so definitely more of a chance a cat would be on the counter than a mouse! Good eye, though! I never noticed that when editing! Our trash can is in the kitchen, so it looks like he walked to it and walked back out.

You can save a lot of water by installing a grey water system to use the runoff from shower, sink and washing machine to flush toilets. Also, a rain catchment system of some sorts if it's permitted in your area. 🙂
@rockymountainhomesteadangela2 ай бұрын
Great ideas! There's many restrictions collecting rainwater here in Colorado, but many people do anyway. We were supposed to put a catchment system up this summer but were so busy wrapping up many other projects.. Hopefully, by spring, we will have something in place!
@piotr2772 ай бұрын
@@rockymountainhomesteadangela Yeah, I though so. Somehow in many of those areas that get stricken with drought, they prohibit people from using the rainwater. It should be the opposite, logically thinking, you're later releasing it back into the ground anyway. Rainwater is good for washing hair or doing laundry because it's very soft also. My great grandmother used to wash her hair only with rainwater. 😉

Thank you for sharing. I am definitely a woods, mountains, and farm person. Love love love to have a homestead one day. My husband is a beach man and so we don’t get out much. I’m in Ohio and probably twice your age, married 35 years. Neither of us got what we wanted but we’re content nonetheless. I still plan to buy a home with land and have a few chickens 😬. He’s moving towards my ideas. I have a pretty nice working pantry which he just found a week ago. I was surprised that he didn’t think I was crazy. Political differences, it’s a challenge. I hope all your dreams come true, it helps that you both have the same mindset. God Bless you and your family.

Yes you certainly have plenty of wild life up in the mountains. All the houses are mainly on hills or a lot . The part of Colorado where you are at is rocky. My ex was born and raised in Colorado and I lived there quite awhile till we got divorced. Brighton…. My ex has family all over Colorado. We went far from boulder Colorado. Beautiful place. Great video.

I live in a small town that relies on volunteer firefighters and when the alarms go off they drop what they are doing and go even if they are shopping or eating. Everyone knows they'll be back eventually to pay up and such.
@rockymountainhomesteadangela26 күн бұрын
Our town is very similar. The department and town I volunteer for is very small. We don't even have our own police department (our law is an hour away) and the paramedics from the neighboring town are 20 - 30 minutes out on a good day! This community truly relies on us for their safety, which is why I've taken so many extra classes to learn as much as I can. Finished Academy, Hazmat, Emr, Wildland fire. I want to be confident on all our calls. The community depends on us!
@_the_left_aint_right_26 күн бұрын
@rockymountainhomesteadangela We don't have a police dept either, neither does the nearest other town. The sheriff is nearly a hour away. We have a security guard tho, so..... not much help hahaha We do have EMS still so we aren't totally cut off from civilization, just almost. We don't have a traffic light. We don't have fast food other than a Subway wannabe. We have a hospital for both towns but they don't deliver babies so you better hope it doesn't go quick. They had a maternity room when I had my kids, thankfully. I would have delivered my last two on the road if I had to go a hour away. Hahaha
@rockymountainhomesteadangela26 күн бұрын
@_the_left_aint_right_ yep! Sounds the same as us. We dont have any medical facilities, but the town near us does. They stopped doing pediatrics and OB/GYN. They even got rid of hospice and the only nursing home they had. It's making us think twice about growing old here, to say the least 😂
@_the_left_aint_right_26 күн бұрын
@rockymountainhomesteadangela My town is so small...... hahaha Our school,K- 12,the alternative school AND the outreach program are ALL in one place. But......we have one thing no one else has.... a sweet little skate park for the kids, paid for by a actor who has family here. I'm so thankful for that because there's not much for kids here.

My husband and I met on love at aol.....funny though because our moms knew each other when they were younger. We didn't find that out till my mom met him. We have been married 20 years now. We were harassed so much back then about meeting online. My husband is a Vol firefighter too. He literally runs down the road because most of our calls are EMS for the elderly in a senior housing down the road. I love watching your channel!!! This was a fun one!
