Hi Iron, Thanks for your answer. The strange thing is that it worked! but I forgot how to set it up
@ridgepointerail94625 жыл бұрын
Just a Tip that worked for me, make sure nothing is connected to the DR5000 WiFi when first setting this up. If a phone or PC is connected to the DR5000, the MAUS cannot see the SSID, and you cannot connect.. Once the Maus has been connected for the first time, it will find the SSID and join no matter what else is connected, thus, it will reconnect at any time afterwards...

I just got one of these and it will not connect to dr 5000. I have it connected to pc. Is their a way to connect?

Ryan: one more idea. If you make a video for setting up consisting on the Roco WLAN/DR 5000 with cvs, you might want to compare that with your JMRI set up for consisting, for those of us that don't use Digitrax/NCE/TCS throttles. I think I recall you saying that you set your consisting up on JMRI.
@IronPlanetHobbies4 жыл бұрын
You bet, I'll see if I can get that done.

Ryan, you were right-This is a nice throttle! Would you consider making a video on consisting using cv19, 21 and 22 with this Roco throttle? I am just about ready for that...

I'll see what I can do. :)

Thanks, for months I could not get passed the flashing pause. Can you please include the settings on the DR5000 PC application ?
@IronPlanetHobbies6 жыл бұрын
The only setting I changed is in the LAN tab. Change the DR5000 Protocol to Z21. Here is the video on that: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fX_VkpWXo7qEqck

I setup a Raspberry Pi W with JMRI and the throttle server wirelessly to the DR5000 using port 1234. But now, If I use the Z21 wifimaus then I have to use the Z21 configuration on the DR5000. How can I use both wirelessly ?
@IronPlanetHobbies6 жыл бұрын
I'll have to dig into that. That is something I'm working on myself. I have a few ideas but haven't had time to test them out. If we can't find a way to do it at the DR5000 then you could use a Digitrax LNWI for the JMRI connection on the Pi and WiThrottle. I also have the LNWI for my Android devices while running the Z21 Protocol.

Hi Ryan, is it also possible to connect the ESU MOBILE CONTROL II to the DR5000? Thanks
@IronPlanetHobbies6 жыл бұрын
Yes, there are 2 ways to do this. That will be my next video.

I have followed these exact instructions, but I've still got the flashing in the middle-top. This seems to imply there is no connection to the DR5000 even though the WLAN is OK. What did you set as the LAN protocol on the DR5000? I have mine set to Z21/WLANmaus and it makes no difference :(
@IronPlanetHobbies6 жыл бұрын
You are almost there. Your WLAN is connected to the WiFi. Leave the DR5000 set to Z21. You just need to put in the IP address of the DR5000 into the throttle under Z21 IP which is in the WiFi menu. The IP should be set to 192.168.16.254

@@IronPlanetHobbies tthank you - I had set this before but with no luck at all. I finally got it to 'stick' and suddenly everything connects. I'm a bit worried because I don't know what I did differently for it to work - no settings were changed anywhere except to keep setting Z21 as protocol.
@IronPlanetHobbies6 жыл бұрын
You are welcome, glad to hear you got it. Now that you have it set, it will always work. Have fun!

How many wlanmaus can you use at the same time? How many phones w z21 app? I think the digitrax box limits 4 phones w WiThrottle?
@IronPlanetHobbies4 жыл бұрын
It's a network router like your home router so it's basically unlimited but in a practical sense the DCC will eventually max out. I've been at op sessions with 16 in use for several hours with no problems.

Is the ssid your home network or must you connect with the DR5000 network?
@ridgepointerail94625 жыл бұрын
Its the SSID of the DR5000.. Usually DR5000-SERIAL or DR-5000 - Your serial number here..

I have followed these exact instructions, but I've still got the flashing in the middle-top. Is your netgear your home network and the password must be add in the wlanmous?
@IronPlanetHobbies5 жыл бұрын
The Netgear is just a repeater. I entered the SSID of the repeater but kept the IP address and password from the DR5000 in the throttle. You might also double check the Z21 address to make sure it matches.
@MathieuvanLoon5 жыл бұрын
@@IronPlanetHobbies It is not yet clear for me: bij settings>wifi>ssid: dr5000? or you home network?
@IronPlanetHobbies5 жыл бұрын
@@MathieuvanLoon You can connect either way. If you have never had it working you should start by going straight to the DR5000. Once that works you can connect your extender or router. Then point the SSID of the throttle to your new device.

How do you setup a consist ?
@IronPlanetHobbies6 жыл бұрын
That video is on my to-do list. You can do it with the throttle using the program menu. However it is still easier to do in JMRI under the Advanced Consisiting tab. You can also build consist with a Digitrax DT using Universal Consisting.
