I'm 53 and I'm spanish.I also have been lucky to assist to many, many concerts of the most famous bands and musicians, not just rock or pop, even ethnical, fusion and jazz.John Mayal,Chet Baker,Prince,Paco de Lucía,Leonel Hampton,Ray Charles,ELO,The Rolling Stones,The Boss, and many more. But I have to say that I will always consider that One Night Only is the best ever. The atmosphere, the band,Rod's strengh and voice, that was something only happens one in a lifetime. And above all, look with your own eyes what friendship truly is.Rod and Ron,Ron and Rod,I can't find the words to describe what happend on stage. One of the best nights of my life. Now I can rest in peace.

I am going to tell my story about Rod Stewart. My Dad was a major record distributor in sales. I was living with him in 1971. He came home one night and played this album. He asked me to listen to it. I was 20 years old. I listened, and he asked me what I thought and how much he should order. I said order them all. I fell in love. This is a true story

Ronnie wood is a great Rolling Stone , But he really is at home beside Rod Sterwart
Probably the greatest live performance ever of Maggie May. Rod's singing, J'Anna's mandolin, Ronnie's guitar, the crowd singing every word, although most of them weren't even born at the time, it's all there. What makes it even more special is that he's back in London, playing Albert Hall, looking at Ronnie and sings about going back home (in a genius passage of Gasoline Alley). They grow up together in London, if you didn't know. Totally awesome.

Watching this for probably the 20th time it brings back so many memories. My wife passed last month the day before our 51st wedding anniversary. When we first got married "Every Picture Tells A Story" came out. We were in the Army and did not own a TV so playing the grooves off of the few albums we could afford was our entertainment as we dreamed and made plans for our future. The pure joy of the musicians, audience and Rod is the same I have, sitting here crying, as I remember those innocent days in the first year of our marriage. Joan and I saw our dreams and plans come to life over the years. She said her only regret was not getting to further enjoy the great home and life we built together; I thanked her for her efforts in leaving me a place of peace and sanctuary to continue to enjoy. Thank you Rod for being a conduit back to those times and bringing so much joy to the world.

One of the great rock songs of all time - no wonder the audience knows all the words. I remember driving between Champaign Ill and Danville Ill on Interstate 74 many times in late 1971 with 'Maggie May' blaring on the radio.

Bass player kills it more than in the original recording! His pulsating bass propelled the energy of the song and makes the it more ALIVE!
