I believe that somewhere in the world, there are people who feel the same emotions that I feel when I listen to masterpieces like this song.

Definitely! It also reminds me of my parents, especially my Dad. He was born in 1938 and he preferred this kind of music over rock ‘n’ roll.

Well well, Rod almost has me believing in love again... Wait a minute, I believe in love, it's my heart that doesn't want to take another chance...

I love what you wrote. It would be my words exactly. I do believe that love exists between two adults. However for me it never worked out. I was broken hearted by a man and I don't want to go back to that feeling again. So therefore I'm going to keep my foolish heart locked up so nobody can ever hurt me again. Such is life😢 besides, I have children and grandchildren and lots of friends to give me all the love and support I need

One of my older sisters favourites. When there's a big age gap, one doesn't appreciate these beautiful ole classics. However, I remember every song written in the last 80yrs. And just love them. The lyrics and melodies are so romantic. They knew how to write then with a lot of depth. Which is lacking today. I love Rod doing these classics

All the selections on this album are great but this is probably the best. His voice, his phrasing and the arrangement create perfection.

The night is like a lovely tune Beware my foolish heart How white the ever constant moon Take care my foolish heart There's a line between love and fascination That's hard to see on an evening such as this For they both give the very same sensation When you're lost in the magic of a kiss Your lips are much too close to mine Beware my foolish heart But should our eager lips combine Then let the fire start For this time it isn't fascination Or a dream that will fade and fall apart It's love, this time it's love My foolish heart It's love, this time it's love My foolish heart

Rod does a beautiful job with this old classic. He certainly can sing the old standards! Just right for a quiet evening. For you old movie fans, this song is featured in the movie by the same name "My Foolish Heart" starring Susan Hayward and Dana Andrews. It is a two hankie tear jerker though.

It would seem that time-tested songs can be performed by any singer. But no! Performers with clear, sonorous voices, young talented singers do not touch my heart, but Rod’s soft, recognizable voice with its characteristic husky voice makes me want to listen to him endlessly! Thanks, Rod!

Outside of the Bill Evans piano version, no one comes close to Rod Stewart's rendition, and I was privileged to hear the Victor Young version in 1949, during the first release of the film of the same name: My Foolish Heart, with Dana Andrews and Susan Hayward. in the starring roles. The music was the best thing about the film.
