I literally cannot hear this song without shedding a tear. I had a lot of trauma since a kid, and that started a pattern of extremely toxic relationships. I ended up getting with a woman who loved me despite all of that, and genuinely wanted better for me, but I was so used to my upbringing, that I sabotaged the relationship with the best woman I ever had, and it took me almost a year after breaking up, to realize that. My dad and bestfriend both died in my arms as a kid, and ive lost homies to gang violence. All if that has been traumatic. But this guilt. This guilt feels way different. It hits a different piece of me. I'd do damn near anything to fix shit with her.
