@@tyrantgregcagkaiju71 The same thing happened with Varan, the Japanese version sounds like a prehistoric bird or some kind of baby Godzilla or even a robot. While the American Varan, it sounds like a tiger a real dinosaur.

While I felt Varan’s American roar sounded like it matched his design very well (possibly even more so than the Japanese version), the Japanese roar was way catchier.

The US Rodan version cut more than a few minutes away where it actually counted--The Japanese version had the JSDF bombarding Mt Aso for much too long.

Actually, they’re modified strums of a violin. Rodan and Godzilla’s roars were later used to create the vocals for Varan and Baragon, though.

Then the roar used in the King Brothers intro of the movie, and that would be used later in anime dragons just like Dragon no Shiryu's special attacks from Saint Seiya...were created by American edits??

What on earth were they doing in the US bruh, the audio is so much worse, and the Japanese version had a visual griminess that helped cover up the goofy looking models. The US version looks too bright and shows a lot of the flaws imo. Plus the roars seem so much more visceral, in the US dub a lot of the roars are just sort of cut off
