Today we maxed out the acceleration settings in the app to 100% and took the Inmotion on it's first real test, a highway. The adrenaline was through the roof after just minutes holding top speed. The Inmotion RS is clearly only for the most advanced riders looking to feel everything that a hyper scooter can offer.
Full review will be out soon! Scooter is available here:
store.inmotion...
Disclaimer: Please don't think you can buy this as your first scooter and ride like this right away. I've been riding electric scooters for about 7 years now, about 5 years on power scooters of daily riding. It's crucial to progress your way from baby scooters to mid range to high end, this is how you develop the muscle memory and the skills to ride at faster and faster speeds. Please gear up and always maintain a safe following distance, especially at higher speeds.

65 mph on a scooter is crazy 😮

Depends on the scooter. A 300cc vespa is made for going on freeways and is legal across the united states. 65 on an overgrown razor scooter is crazy, crazy stupid.

70mph with traffic lights is a bit insane dont you think? Are you sure you dont mean freeway? We do have some 60mph areas with traffic signals here in California. But those roads are almost as wide as a freeway here with 4 lanes each direction. Even then people tend to drive 45-55 on the one I tend to travel.

@@cgityler no biggie, they can be fairly interchangeable in word use. I think the main difference is in defining them for law use. The biggest difference i know of is bicycles are not allowed on freeways, except in very rare distinctly marked areas in the US where the freeway is the only method of travel. To use a freeway your vehicle must be able to maintain the speed limit, often requiring 150cc+, registration, license, insurance, blinkers, mirrors, etc. In some states you can get a ticket for not maintaining 90% of the posted speed limit barring traffic or a road hazard. Im sure theres a lot more, but im no lawer lol. And like i said, its mostly for laws. There are fast highways with very few lights. Like the highway 395 in california. It does go up to 65 in rural areas between towns, then slows down to 25 through the towns (speed trap!). Also the highway patrol does patrol freeways, which doesnt help with the naming. The cops are basically advertising it as a highway... But we need another branch of flaw enforcement like a hole in the head. Side note. My favorite saying writen on a cop car was in the original transformers movie. "To punish and enslave"

What do you think?? Nami Burn E 2 Max or RS? 🤔 I recently changed the thumb throttle on my new burn e 2 Max to the Poland finger throttle and it's so much better to me. It was dicey for me going those speeds and the dead zone on the thumb throttle. Didn't like it. RS looks like a beast as well

@@ScootaGang cruising 100% not to mention how long has Nami been on the market and many of the issues addressed on the max? RS is beautiful and internals immaculate with the spacing of the controllers but time will tell the quality and if the inmotion first gen RS will encounter break downs. How inmotion will improve the RS is key. Or they may scratch the RS after a few years? I like Nami because Michael Sha faced the big issues early on and improved on those issues. The design is unlike any other toy looking hyper scooter out there with the tubular design and motorcycle esque look and feel. Cruising all day for me so Nami is my winner. I live in a rural area and I regularly ride on the highway... if your legs are tired you should play with your stance. At speed I try to stand straight with knees only slightly bent, ready to react. But I find that if my foot is too bent (on the kickplate) or my knees are too bent it's a lot more tiring. I can ride for at least an hour at 55 without getting too tired.

I have around 1450 miles on mine in a couple of months and the extra traction from the slicks seems tempting but spring/fall are pretty rainy here and I'm not sure how they'll do in actual wet conditions should I need to ride after it rains. Which slicks did you go with? They have an R (softest), T41 (medium), and a T4 (hardest of the three) but they're all still softer than the Stradale.

Depends on your local laws, but almost everywhere It's a gray area, especially because the laws are already out of date. Lot of them were written before hyper electric scooters even existed. It gets more complicated because you have to consider city ordinances, county, and state law as you move across boundaries. LIke in this ride I started in Coralville, then was in North Liberty, then on a highway in johnson county outside of city limits, each has their own scooter laws. It's going to be a nightmare for a long time, but I think officers realize that most people are obeying the local traffic laws and scooters in general aren't a problem.

There is regulation coming to e-bikes, i would imagine scooters are tossed in that group. And those of you riding overgrown razors @ highway speeds wont be happy in the end. You can clearly see saftey issues, the thing doesnt even have mirrors near as i could tell. I do think scooters should be fine going 35 along the side of the highway, just like a bicycle. But jumping on a freeway is going to require a license, registration, and insurance. I dont recognize the distinction of "hyper electric scooter". Thats a marketing term made to sell you a legally grey device. The legislation coming is nationwide and limits not just riding use, but manufacturing power limits. Its targeting e-bike manufacturers making e-bikes made to go traffic speeds. Trying to sell kids electric motorcycles under the auspicion that its legally a bike. Leading to a spike in injuries and awakening big brother to keep saftey in society in check.

Aren't the brakes amazing on the RS?! On my other scooters I have to squat and push all my weight to the back when I brake. On the RS its just a smooth stop like your in a car! Don't have to shift your weight or anything! I raced my neighboor on his 4 wheeler against me on my RS and I smoked him haha!
@ScootaGang
@ScootaGang 9 ай бұрын
For sure that's half the brakes being good but also the stiff suspension. Lot of scooters have excess forward and back tipping when you accelerate and brake, makes the scooter seem super unstable. RS def has that under control and scooter stays very flat under acceleration and braking. Rides fantastic!

The thumb throttle is right on Inmotions website, it's plug and play. Best thumb throttle I have tested based on the amount of thumb movement and mapping. The dead zone seems higher in lower gears and more instant throttle in gear 4 so it's nice you can ride to your own style.

I've had a dualtron thunder in my shop for repairs and had to turn it away. It's the only brand I won't work on. They purposely make things difficult to repair and are lagging behind very far in that which is very important to me. They need to update the scooters to make it more user friendly to repair for me to be really interested in them at this point. How much faster do you really need or want to go on a stand-up scooter with little wheels??? These things are already dangerously fast as it is! If you need 60+ mph, get a motorcycle or something better suited for those speeds before you seriously injure yourself or someone else! @ScootaGang so I think I'm going with the Nami Burn-E 2 Max!!! After looking at specs for all of the scooters, I think the Nami is the best bet, considering it's the lightest of the bunch! They all have very similar specs but 100lb is already super heavy. The Nami is 103lb while the rest of the scooters are close to 120lb, or more! Mainly leaving this comment for anyone who is trying to chose as well. I think the Nami is best choice based on power/weight ratio and even price.

Dude, the scooter (Inmotion RS) cannot go more than 53 true mph with your body weight standing up in a good weather with light wind. The main limitation is the battery not able to deliver sustained max power due to power drop. That battery is Chinese brand junk. And LG M50 and M50T cannot deliver either. Need genuine version Samsung 40T battery pack custom made. That will give you more power and sustaining power. 2nd limitation, but not significant, is the motors used in this scooter. The motors are lower wattage rated motors in truth despite what the marketing from the seller says. Replace that with aftermarket 3500W 72V motors. Grand total that'll give you 64 true mph, while standing up. About 1 mph faster if you sit down. So that would be 65 + 7 = 72 mph shown on your currently using GPS app and 75 mph shown on the scooter speedo display. If you use COOL NIKS GPS app it will read speed lower, closer to the true speed.
