Thank you for your extensive testing in various locations and situations especially the ones outdoors. Other channels that tested them outdoors did so near walls or buildings, which help bounce the signal. I now feel more comfortable on my next shoot knowing the signal is still strong enough for my cases. Enjoyed the humor and personality as well, cheers!

Thanks Ken! I appreciate you. One thing I learned recently is that if they lose signal for an extended period, a restart on the transmitter might be necessary. But everything I said about the system still holds up! I hope it serves you well.

How does it work when someone around you is talking? Does it pick their voice up? My best videos are haircut videos, but I’m looking for better audio during that. Is the Rode Wireless Go the best microphone for those situations?

The lavelier does a pretty good job of isolating one subject. Both the lav and the transmitter mics are omnidirectional, so they are still going to pick up other sounds. The lav works well mostly due to how close you can put it from the subjects mouth. With that being said, a lavelier may be the best solution for your use case. I couldn't say for sure.

where you put your rode wireles go ? under shirt ?
@KyleFields5 жыл бұрын
You can do either. If it's really windy like it was here, under might be better. But if your talent needs to move around a lot, putting it under might cause some rubbing noise with the clothes.

@@KyleFields i wanna do a prank and i am little scarry that when it will be under clothes or in the pocket then the receiver will not receive sound
@KyleFields5 жыл бұрын
@@marcinm2688 it depends on how far away the transmitter is. Anywhere in a regular sized room will be fine. Past 30 ft with stuff in the way, I wouldn't be 100% confident. You can also use an adapter and record audio from the mic straight to a phone or field recorder.

what mic will be the best with rode wireles go ?

I am using the Rode Lavelier Go in this video. It's $80. I used a cheap 3.5mm lav for a while, but it wasn't reliable (it was the audio solution I alluded to in this video). It depends on your budget really. But I wouldn't recommend spending more than $150 on a lav mic. There isn't as much ROI after that.

Have you run into any issues with you or a talent walking with their back toward the camera/receiver?
@KyleFields5 жыл бұрын
I've had problems when they are a significant distance away. Otherwise, the signal is strong. In the same room, it has never dropped.
