That particular model did not have a 4 wheel under carriage. Both main landing gear had huge single Tyres’s 9 foot in diameter, like great doe nuts. Due to these they were very limited in there choices of landing strips. Obviously a mistake by model manufacturers. Later rectified to 4 wheel units. They later also added 4 jet engines in the model your creating. Great work, keep it up.🇦🇺

Actually, the 4 wheel bogies are correct on the B-36b. The single tires were used only on the Xb and yb models. The 4 wheel bogie’s actually showed up on the B-36A.

True for the XB-36 prototype but not true for the B-36B (like this model).

I'd heard Roden kits were putty queens and this one sure proved it.

It truly was. I have another Roden kit, but I am too afraid to build it because of the soft details and the massive gaps it should have

@@vulcan-scalemodeling Just take more time cleaning parts up. Looks like a lot of your problems were from not making the parts fit together properly by leaving flash and bad edges.

Wish Roden had gotten the scale more exact as with the nacelles and spinners, not to mention the guns. This seems unnecessary in the current world of computer measuring and design.

I agree. I swear that this kit is not of this era. Yes there is good, crisp detail, however it is overshadowed by lack of detail elsewhere and fit issues
