Oh my, what happened to Rodeo Drive? A lot of empty stalls and boarded up windows. I heard even Sak's Fifth was boarded up. I was in my late teens in the 80's working as a hotel reservations supervisor at the Beverly Rodeo Hotel where the iconic Cafe Rodeo was (360 N Rodeo Dr). I loved it working there, including getting some discounts from the employees working at the different luxury brands in the area. Although, items were still expensive even with discounts as a 19 year old, I used to save up my paycheck to buy a scarf or a perfume (the cheapest I could afford then). I had great memories in that area, including celebrating my 21st birthday at the original Cheesecake Factory when it used to be a tiny restaurant. I haven't been back in BH in years. I'm very sad at what's happened to the city. Why are businesses there closing? 😢
