We did peel the bark off stays and posts. Also used an axe to point the ends of them so water wouldn’t accumulate and rot them. My dad was really particular about fences. Always used 9 strands of barb wire. I still have the stay we used to space the wires.

The video is old i know but next time to peel the cedar stays you need to find you a pressure washer and strip them with that. You will get more stays in the ground faster then making them do it by hand :0) Ok well never mind since the the stripping of the stays was a joke lol.
