I think this set should be approached in this way: Total domestic tourists in 2016= 3,000 After considering 4th quarter (i.e. taking all quarters into consideration, % of tourists in the 3rd quarter changes to 25%) so total no. of tourists in the 3rd quarter = 3,000/4= 750. But 750 is also 30% of the no. of tourists without considering the tourists in the 4th quarter. Hence, total no. of tourists before 4th quarter = 10/3×750 = 2500. So, no.of tourists in the 4th quarter= 500

nope, you changed the number of domestic tourists in 3rd qtr from 900 to 750. It won't change. 30% is after adding 4th quarter to the previous total (3000).

Initially I had also solved it that way, but then I realized if the total no. of quarters will be increased then it is obvious that total no. of tourists would also increase vice versa.

And also, other quarters (i.e., 3rd quarter having 300 tourists) are not individually (or say their no.) getting affected by addition of fourth quarter, it is just that due to it's addition the overall percentage of each quarter will be affected .

If you calculate (1/6)*100 you will get 16.67%. Like 1/2 = 50% or 1/4 is 25%. You should check out his percentages topics from Arithmetic playlist for better understanding :)

4th quarter is added for que 1. After addition of 4th quarter, quarter 3 becomes 25% from 30%. And hame pata tha ki waha 900 people hai so 900 will be 25% of whole. 25% = 900 means 100% = 3600 ( 25*4=100, 900*4=3600)
