How can we assume (x-a)/(b+c) = 1, it can be (x-a)(/b+c)=1/2 also then (x-b)/(c+a)=1/2 and (x-c)/(a+b)=2 right ?

When multiplying numbers with same base and different power, you just add the power. Here if you add 1/3 and 2/3 you get 3/3 which is 1, so 2 to the power 1

@@sammurty749 Yes it can be anything....so we can assume any values as long as we are not contradicting any constraints, here we don't have any other constraints except that the sum of the terms is 3, so abiding that it is ideal to assume each term as 1.
