In all honesty if I knew the person who traumatized my child worked at an evil company with the only reason hes like that is because of the company i would honestly be mad at both him and the company since he was the one who decided to traumatize my child and the company for even making the guy like that in the first place Also, most of the stuff he did kinda felt more like a weird twitter artist vent (in a sense) in the form of creepily edited spongebob clips and hijacking than anything too substantial until the end to where he finally decides to tell the truth, which like sir i get it you need to tell others about it but couldnt you… like, do something like hijacking with messages, getting people to be curious then show like, a link to a website all about the bad stuff the company did instead of imbedding creepy stuff in my kid’s head for probably many years Probably expecting some hate from this take but uhhh just note that this is my opinion i really dont like companies who force rushed deadlines on others Also, one more thing, wouldnt it be kinda weird to try to drive people away when you try to send a message? Wouldnt you want MORE people to know about what the person youre saying has done something bad has done? As the website made for this creepypasta (the geocities one) said, “For viewers, especially those unfamiliar with the turmoil inside the animation industry, the scene was disorienting and haunting.” It being in symbolism doesnt help much either, I guess that’s why his messages are basically near-lost and didnt have much impact in the first place…

That was... a movie, alright. Something that completely blew my first published Creepypasta out of the water. If you can even call it that. To those who don't know, yes, I wrote the Resignation Incident. To tell you the truth, I've always hated it. Looking back on the original depresses me. It is nothing special, and if anything, the antagonist is a bitchboy with no defense skills and instead cries about his insecurities on air. I don't know what I was thinking when I made this story, but that doesn't mean I won't allow remakes, rewrites, fan-content, etc. Stuff like this is an example of how incredibly happy I am to have been in this community. You fixed my story, made Armond actually threatening, somehow made SPONGEBOB threatening, fixed the visuals, fixed the monologue, everything about this is fantastic. You have no idea how happy this makes me. Thank you to my subscribers, Rodrigo's subscribers, the writers and artists I've worked with, thank you. On a side note, I have come to improve on my writing overtime, and I continuously check back for errors, so I don't end up writing something like the OG Resignation Incident story. I'm not perfect at it, of course, but I would love to see what others think of my new or more recent work.

Immediately SS+ tier, this is insanely well-crafted Like BoxOfToasters brought up, it doesn't feel like a hijacking or, might I add, some generic creepypasta. This represents the dark era of Nickelodeon, especially in 2009 right before SpongeBob's 10th anniversary - a turning point as a whole for the network. It really does feel like an employee who was so frustrated with the network's practices and priorities that he had to make it known, and he succeeded. By the way, I adore the choices of "Gone" and "Stuck in the Wringer" in the second half. The former represents the staff panicked about their reputation, viewership, and employees having been long gone; and the latter showing how horribly the staff (represented by Patrick and the rest of Bikini Bottom) is treating its biggest selling point himself, despite the employees and fans (represented by SpongeBob) pointing out how their love and enjoyment for the network is ruined. The cherry on top is that both episodes are considered among the worsts in the series as well.

Oh man I have a LOT to say about this so I think I'll split it up into different parts of the video! - 0:00 - Intro / backstory: Having the intro to the marathon break up into static is nice foreshadowing for what this mental breakdown did to Armond and I think the backstory is delivered very nicely. Fading away from the Nick building to nothing, especially with the audio, is unsettling and sells the tonal shift perfectly. - 4:58 - Anomalies during "Help Wanted": These are *incredibly* well done! I like that the first one seems like a genuine M&E glitch that could've happened even outside of the hijack (at least up until we see Patrick's crossed eyes) and the second one is a standard "message" but done pretty subtly compared to a lot of other examples. It makes sense that the hijacks would start off small and increase in severity as the marathon went on. - 8:59 - "Pineapple Fever" ending error: In which the vibe turns from satirical horror (oooh, what a scary piece of chalk!) into... what the hell am I watching and what happened to Squidward?! The brief length of this one combined with the more standard glitches as seen in the first anomaly lend themselves to a lot of unanswered questions. The credits message has been done in these types of videos before, but having the standard audio play over it implying Nick managed to partially protect their feeds is a nice change of pace. - 11:44 - Ominous bumpers during the ads: Holy crap these were good! I really like how the first one is slightly lighter than the one that comes later in the video (which takes place later at night) and the creepy ambience does a lot to carry these. And just when we think the worst of it is over... - 13:43 - "Single Cell Anniversary" hijack: My initial reaction was "okay we're back to normal", immediately prior to jumping at the reveal of... Painty with his face burnt off? Followed by the lonely island in pitch black darkness setting up a mood unlike any of these I'd ever watched, and then... oh, that's gore. That's gore of my comfort character. And then onto the episode like nothing happened! What a freaking rollercoaster, you managed to effectively change the entire tone of this hijack in just over a minute. The technical difficulty screen is neat, I don't think we've seen this one too often prior, but of course we don't get much time to look at it as the status bar glitches up and we get another ominous bumper clarifying that Armond's team is not giving up. Masterclass in editing and truly felt unnerving to me in a way many of these videos haven't. - 16:20 - Hastily edited website: Not much to say here, but adding info about the hijack the website adds more credibility to this story, especially with the way it was casually written. - 17:20 - "Gone" alternate ending: I was a big fan of your Sonic episode 66 retake and was wondering if you would return to that well again in the future, and this is a damn good follow-up to the themes established there! Branching off from SpongeBob realizing everyone has disappeared, we learn that Bikini Bottom has long since been abandoned in what seems to be an apocalypse that killed all of his friends in the process. At work, he can't get over the sight of his lost friends... until he realizes that there was nothing he *could* do. The same people who initiated the apocalypse were the ones that humiliated SpongeBob for trying to live his life, but instead of getting angry, he tries his best to bottle up how he truly feels. Excellent work on this ending, the standout aspects of it to me are the visuals (*especially* the shot of all of his friends getting darker as Sponge realizes their fate) and the background music which expertly add to the psychodrama. - 22:16 - "Rock Bottom" interruption: This episode is one used a lot in these resignation videos and is a good one to use thanks to the "advanced darkness" of the episode compared to others. This Rock Bottom edit might be my personal favorite; as soon as the bus station shuts down for the night, SpongeBob just... disappears and leaves to go see his friends' gravestones. Once again upset at their demise (especially that of his closest friend), he swears vengeance upon the people responsible as we get some final slides from Armond explaining his intent to deliver a message later that night. I don't like this one nearly as much as the more elaborate Gone alteration, but it's a solid follow-up and sets up the final hijack of the marathon brilliantly. - 26:00 - "Stuck in the Wringer" premiere hijack / "Time's Up": Masterful work, maybe the best videopasta I've ever watched and carried heavily by the edits that preceded it. I vastly prefer using this episode over the original "Valentine's Day" as personally, "Stuck in the Wringer" represents the relationship between SpongeBob and Patrick at its lowest point ever. After calling out SpongeBob for his awful treatment (which, as we saw during the episode, was harshly received by the Bikini Bottomites due to lack of context), we cut to the home lane at night... immediately followed by a title card for "Time's Up" with the most iconic "sad" track of the show playing over it. I initially thought this was representing SpongeBob being driven to end his life due to the prior events, only for Armond to tell Nick that they're finally going to get what they deserve, followed by repurposed footage from "Procrastination" displaying SpongeBob writing the speech (providing credence to Sponge representing Armond and his situation). If the video ended here I'd still be amazed and unable to sleep, but we get one last speech... - 29:20 - Armond's message: Armond finally tells the audience what the purpose of his team's hijacks were: they wanted to spread awareness over how Armond was being treated and fight for better treatment for animators in the workplace, and is upset with Nick for not allowing him to pursue his lifelong dreams. After finally getting his message out, he leaves and Nickelodeon attempts to bring the marathon back on air, though their situation is the worst it has ever been. I love the simplicity of this; nothing truly scary compared to the prior hijacks, just a passionate man wanting better treatment. This hit especially hard hearing about some of the recent layoffs in the animation industry. Excellent work! This is absolutely my favorite take on the resignation incident for humanizing Armond and giving him a relatable situation, only for him to go completely overboard. I understand why he did what he did, he was in a "do or die" situation and literally had no other choice but to spread the word of his poor treatment to everyone he could, but I truly don't feel it was worth traumatizing a generation of kids who grew up with the show and dragging down the entire Nick company along with it. I could go on discussing this video for a good hour or so, but just know that I enjoyed this one a lot and would love to see similar videos like this going forward! This might just be your magnum opus.

Wait, is that a THE BEST Tier Remake?! Now for some Constructive Criticism Pros: - Realistic Source - Where the Re-animated clips came from are actually realistic. A.R.R had an entire team of rebellious animators (and probably some storyboard artists) who are constantly dealing with pressure from Nickelodeon Higher-Ups and Executives, so it feels more convincing for the Modified Clips to be made by them and not one single guy. - Believable Story - The Modified "Gone" clips essentially tell a story of how harsh the animators are being treated at Nick. Such as all of SpongeBob's Friends being dead representing how Nick drained their souls, and the part where SpongeBob gets Vietnam Flashbacks about a Crowd of fish humiliating him, and the sequence of his Frustration Growing, and Growing. And since SpongeBob was supposed to represent A.R.R and Others like him, then it really says a lot about the current state of the Animation Industry, and I LOVE IT. - A.R.R Himself - Of course you can't have a Resignation Incident without Armond! The Original Story said he's a Disgruntled Employee who hates Nick and later gets arrested. Here he's actually a lot more Likeable, and Someone you can actually relate to. He's much more of a rebel with a cause, fighting back against Nickelodeon because of how much they chipped away at his mental health. - ART IS (Not) DEAD - I Know people find it weird that A.R.R doesn't say his iconic line "ART IS DEAD" in this remake but i actually think that makes it a lot better in a lot of ways. First of all, it doesn't sound as cheesy as the OG with the new quote "Creativity has run dry". Speaking of the new quote, it's less vague and a lot more specific than "Art Is Dead" because with Indie animation on the rise, Art can still thrive in many spaces, especially with how creative those shows can be. Art is meant to be Creative, and why would it even be art if it isn't? Other Minor Pros: - The One part where SpongeBob was about to get flashbacks reminds me of that one clip from Ren and Stimpy and i love it - The Signal Issue screen is 100% Legit and I never knew it actually existed until now... - The Notice about nickelodeon actually does occasionally appear and it seems to get darker and darker each time - Flint Lockwood Cons: - A Small part of the story is a lil confusing - Ever since i rewatched the first part of the Video, I've been wondering... it said A.R.R formed a small group with his colleagues that promote conversations of better mental wellbeing, but when he was hatching his bold (and kinda criminal) plan out of resentment, he formed another group of tech-savvy individuals. He wasn't allowed to reveal any part of his plan to anyone over fears of alarming others. was he hiding the plan from his colleagues? or was he hiding it from the executives? Do his colleagues secretly know? - Nothing else cause everything else is perfection. Tiny Gripes: - The Signal Issue screen size is slightly inconsistent What can be improved: - I Thought of little flashes or cuts to transition from the official episode to the modified clip, idk why, but it could add to the realism. - I would've liked it if other clips were filmed in other ways, like someone holding a phone at the TV Screen, or Camcorder, etc. Conclusion: This remake is one of, if not THE BEST Remake of the Resignation Incident, Known to Man! Everything is well-crafted and Masterfully Executed! It may not be perfect, like the best of everything is, but It's the Closest you can get to Perfection there is! Probably EVER! Well Done, Rodrigo... You've made a Masterpiece. You've made your Magnum Opus, And Most of all, This... is ART.

I agree. That’s one aspect about Rodrigo’s most recent SpongeBob retakes that I really love very much. The way he distorts and alters the show’s soundtrack, combined with the disturbed changes on the character’s faces always creates an uncanny/uneasy atmosphere the whole time you’re listening to it. I also think that if this was real, it would have changed Nickelodeon a lot. They probably would have given the workers the respect they deserve. Was this whole story of an artist strike thing kind of inspired by a similar thing *(the writers' strike)* that happened last year?

You’ve honestly redeemed this Creepypasta! IMO, the original one was so bad to take seriously, all because of the main person of the hijacking, Armond. Armond in the original was so laughable bad! The original Armond give me the impression of a guy looking at a baby’s cartoon and going on a nerd filed rant on how “CARTOONS NEED TO BE MATURE!!!” While that said “maturity” is just nothing but ideas for gore and swears in kids shows. Your Armond on the other hand is amazing! He actually feels like a real person! Who has dreams of being a animator, only to have that dream be crushed due to the company’s horrible working practices. And became so drained of it! He’s much more engaging now and not a psychotic nerd! Awesome job! Love this so much!

Wow, I never expected you to make this resignation incident story to actually became a movie, I know I'm honestly glad that you made this whole movie of a video actually better than original! Lawfanda made the story way shitter and does not make the whole character of the story itself have no self-defense, but he tried to write the story way more detailed then it already is but since this story never worked out, it was terrible. But overall I'm honestly glad that you made this video of the story more menacing then it already is, you did great job at making this and I'm happy someone like you would actually make the whole "resignation incident" more detailed imagery and animation put into the pasta! Mad respect W coming for you Rodrigo, you did pretty well! Sincerely, PhantomSorcrerer!

32:59 This is so scary to me as the scream implies, at least to me that Nickelodeon found Arnold and processed to kill him in a brutal way, causing the horrifying scream, as well as his whereabouts being unknown.

I actually love this retake so much, it's written so well and it actually had me scared at times, this fees legit and the fact that Nick tried hiding it makes it more believable, because think about it, can you find any SpongeBash footage? If Nickelodeon takes down this video, that means they are still trying to hide the incident.

the month-long wait was so, so worth it. this is probably one of my favorite remakes of a creepypasta, possibly EVER. i can't even begin to describe how good this one is. i really like that this takes on the form of a documentary, which by the way, is executed very well here! plus; you actually managed to take this mediocre creepypasta, tweak it to the limit and made it amazing. some scenes here actually had me creeped out, and overall, it came out EXTREMELY well done! and i'm not even joking, this is one of your best remakes by far! i may have missed the premiere, but it's all good. if i were to pinpoint everything i liked about this one, i feel like this comment would be too long. 10/10.

Y'know, initially I thought Lukinspire's remake was the best remake of the "Nickelodeon Resignation Hijacking", but this one take the cake by far! Instead of it being a full on 1:1 adaptation, this one takes it further and builds upon the original source material. The hijacking parts where the signal breaks up, the added parts that use both original animation and modified scenes from different episodes makes this beyond spine-chilling. As a matter of fact, the buildup to the final day where Armond speaks up and tell the viewers the truth about Nickelodeon, rather than an onscreen message explaining it with him having a raging fit and destroying equipment and other shit near the microphone in the background, it honestly feels a whole lot more realistic. Heck, the only bit of screaming you hear is towards the end of the hijacking, as why go even further with Armond himself just throwing shit around and screaming near the microphone when the previous hijackings practically unsettled and disturbed many of the viewers who tuned into Nickelodeon during the marathon? If I were to say which video adaptation of the resignation incident is the best... Lukinspire's version is the best when it comes to accuracy and staying true to the original story, while also adding a little extra. But if I were to say which version is the best overall, this one might just be the best one I've ever watched, as it builds upon the original story, rewrites a whole lot to make it seem more real, and the fact that this whole thing makes it seem like a mini-documentary style video talking about the incident, along with describing Nickelodeon's struggle during the whole ordeal (along with their reputation falling apart overtime) the added bit of imagery (like the message telling viewers to stop watching, and the screenshot of the Nickelodeon website at the time mentioning the hijacking), and the speculation regarding said hijacking, this whole thing is just really well made. And as someone mentioned in the comments, this indeed should act as the gold standard for any retake! *Kudos to you, Rodrigo!*

I mean, he did knew that by traumatizing kids, a lot of parents would turn against Nick, which would hurt them pretty badly. And this is something he wanted to happen. I wonder if a term "anti-hero" would work here.

Best Resignation Retake ever, I like how there's a reason why Armond somehow got into Nickelodeon's Airwaves and hijacked the channel, but This is the only retake I've seen without the Valentine's Day episode being the last time that Armond is going hijack the marathon and also the only retake without The Angry Spongebob with a wide smiling grin. It is also very different from the other resignation retakes since It's in the form of a documentary, I like how Armond went from an Animator with a dream to a rebellious man who wanted to ruin the reputation of the company he worked for before reassigning in the last hijacking, 10 Out of fucking 10.
@CaptainBZarre9 күн бұрын
I really liked the change in episode to Stuck in the Wringer too! Valentine's Day was fine and had the air of "wait I haven't seen this episode before" to it as it aired rarely, but Stuck in the Wringer more accurately fits the themes of the creepypasta in question and would fit with when this marathon was airing. And also both have cotton candy.

I.... have no words, other than what I want to say. Please stand by.... This is genuinely the best retake of the resignation incident I have ever seen. From the creepiness of the hijacks to making the characters represent what ARR was dealing with. You nailed everything, and it feels like something that could've occurred in real life, even though it's just a creepypasta. The final message was one of my favorite parts. No awkward camera angle with some paper that says "Y'all are so negative all the time". The guy actually speaks directly to the audience with his voice. It sounds like he never wanted to hurt any viewers with what he did. He just wanted to expose Nickelodeon's greed. Rodrigo, you've taken a massive resignation incident W. Keep up the amazing work dude!
@hurbywurby-q1h28 күн бұрын
This is by far the best reimagining of the pasta ive ever seen. Framing Armond as a radical advocate for workers rights is by far the best place to go with this, and as a radical leftist myself its so interesting how armond actually stood up in this way, and how it actually paid off. the imagery itself strays away enough from simple pupil dilation to really stand out too. I love the "Times up" title card too, really clever stuff there. Overall this is just incredible stuff.

18:12 You've all taken more than just the life of these characters. You've drained their souls, left them to rot in a city that burns under the weigh of your greed. Bikini Bottom or whatever it's called is now a graveyard. The streets are filled with ashes of characters you once loved, left to die in the flames you caused. You burned them alive in a city dro______of chaos.
