I am one of the musicians, along with my husband, who recorded this CD with Singh Kaur. This was the last thing she did; she was very ill at the time and passed away a few months later. But she was very determined to get this music recorded for posterity. It was a truly transcendent experience, as it is to listen to it now. I am glad to hear how healing it has been for so many. I have not heard any other voice like hers in all these years.

@@AnnyMentgesTradutora Thank you, Anny. It was a bittersweet time, as we hadn't seen her in about 10 years. We worked on earlier recordings with her back in the '80s. At the same time as "Universe," I also recorded on a track ("Fairy Ring") on her other last CD, Fairy Night Songs, which is an exquisite album with a kind of mystical Celtic feel to it. It was issued by Sequoia Records. Check it out.

This is my favorite song in the whole universe. I just learned the other day that Singh Kaur literally got up from her deathbed to record this as her last gift to humanity.
