I will never forget that concert in Zurich where I had the chance to go up on stage and Rodrigo asked me what was the song I would like him to play. I almost fainted and could not believe what was happening. And the moment he offered me one of his guitar pick.....my god...It was the best concert of my life. As a guitarist, I always considered these two geniuses as a reference for my guitar practice. Meeting you guys really meant the world to me! Remember standing in HMV and saying to my mate "Orion? Wow! Who's doing this?" Went to the counter and asked who it was "this is an new album by Rodrigo y Gabriela good isn't it?" So good on this cover of Orion I bought on the spot. 7 gigs and every album bought the rest is history

First song I heard was Tamacun on public radio in Illinois when they were releasing their first album and I’ve been lucky enough to see them play live 3 times since then.

I was 17 years old when I first was introduced to Rodrigo and Gabriela. I was a junior in high school and a guitar student. Five guitar students including myself felt so privileged to have performed this song for our Spring guitar concert. We covered a small portion of this beautiful master piece. I’m 31 years old now and I saw Rodrigo and Gabriela 2 years ago and it brought a tear to my eye. Thank you for your beautiful, authentic, and passionate music playing. Your are both so amazingly talented and I absolutely love the music you feed my soul. ❤️

Son muy talentosos, ambos, pero es una pena que solo se le reconozca por una cover de metallica . Tamacún por ejemplo es una gran canción que si no recuerdo mal sale en Breaking Bad pero no es tan reconocida como la cover... y esto es lo que pasa con la música, que aunque seas muy bueno solo te quieren para repetir lo mismo siempre aunque tu talento y creatividad lo superen con canciones como Tamacún o Diablo rojo.

Pretty sure this formula got stale about a decade ago... Apocalyptica realised this, after making a career using classic instruments to cover Metallica. They soon got drummers and vocalists involved and never looked back. In the KZbin cover generation, this arrangement just sounds thin and unimaginative. Good luck with injecting some novelty into you covers.
