Great video dude I also love my recon, however I find it very light, I have the generation prior, but I find it to light for me, so I’ve dedicated it to cranking😂😂 Donno if the generation change changed the blank

Bro just a quick note: the Recon Medium is a Topwater and Jerkbait, but the topwater they are referring to is something with treble hooks like a poppoer or walking bait. The Recon Medium does not have the backbone to set those hooks on the frog and you will certainly lose a lot of fish on it and possibly snap the rod.

So to get started, I recommend the cull-em spark Bait caster combo. Really affordable, great value for money and I still use it to this day. For spinning, I would go for the Shimano FX XT spinning combo😁🙌🏼

Great info ,you don't use braid on your set up .

That is absolutely not what that line clip is there for on the second setup….no doubt it wrecking your line.

Apologies for the misunderstanding man, I only use the line clip when packing the reel away in its box, I was just showing how it damages the line every time I store the reel🤦🏻‍♂️😂 Thanks for clarifying 😁👍🏼
