True story. Summer of 1992 I was 6 yrs old, about to turn 7. One night I fell asleep on the couch and woke up in the middle of the night. This video was playing on vh1. It must have been a behind the music episode. That was when I fell in love with Rod Stewart. Woke up the next day, asked my mom if he was still alive. Was so relieved he was. She bought me one of his cassettes for my 7th birthday. Best birthday present EVER.

Rod leaving the Faces was inevitable. What I could never understand is why he didn't put out more songs like this or "Dirty Weekend." Just straight ahead, kick-ass rock n' roll. He was such a great singer for material like this. I know some people like the Scottish folk singer thing (I love "Gasoline Alley" and "Every Picture" too), but Rod was a great rock singer. He didn't need those silly pop songs.

Reckon he thought he needed the money more than the music - he not done bad on that point. But lost his cool when Passion became a hit, and that kind of stuff seemingly tasted better than hard rocking with the boys. Only some nearly decent soft rockers after that, apart from the big band things he done, I won't touch his post 1980 repertoire with a 30 feet pole

I do design some of my craziest outfits, and just Sayin' I Love when a fatty can Get JUSTICE! 4Real, I looked like Applelonia from Prince. Prince's girl was his main dancer besides the other Latina dancers.

What an amazing song. Hard hitting, funky, great riffs, great vocals, happy, upbeat. Talks about something fun, something guys used to love. Nowadays it's songs about pain, depression, how my dad wasn't there, waa waa waa. Thank the good Lord we still have this.

I also love these straight rockers, but I would like to add that songs about pain, depression, regret, etc., are not a privilege of current music, just as there are still great riffs written in this millennium. 'Hot legs' was released as a double-A-side single, if you flipped it over, you heard this song: kzbin.info/www/bejne/anrKgHiKoZqkb7s And just one of many more recent songs that comes to mind (ok, 2006, but still this millennium (-: ) kzbin.info/www/bejne/r3ivqKSqhKuSjrs Doesn't change a thing about the fact that you are completely right about this being one great rock song, of course.

This is my BFF favorite song.I remember being in church and she was bored silly, we were only ten years old. Right in the middle of the heart of the sermon she jumped up on the pew and lifted her dress a little and start singing this song... I laughed like HELL. Boy did we get our buts tanned. I hope God likes Rod Stewart because she's probably up there singing it to him right now. I miss you so much princess.
