Those were awesome times. MTV used to be so good you could sit and watch it couldn't wait to see what was coming on next. Kind of like the good ole days of radio. Will never forget being at the community pool as a kid, crowded as heck, and a commercial came over the speakers. Someone making a lot of racket, a crash. Someone asked, what are you doing? Response "I'm trying to pull a Cheap Trick." And cue the music pumping the concert coming to town. Doesn't get any better than that growing up. Except maybe getting hooked on Billy Squier when your buds' older brothers are blaring it out of their t-top Camaro's speakers. That there's a lifelong affliction. ;)

yea,I would say JB is the hardest guitarist to immolate. I was lucky enough to see him open for ZZ Top a few years ago here in Vegas, I never thought I would get see see / hear him play live. It blew my mind. One of the greatest guitarists to ever live. There will never be another JB. He makes it look easy buy extremely hard to duplicate. RIP JB

Was the tour for Camouflage saw Rod Stewart in concert in Austin, Texas. Probably mid to late 1984 right after I arrived for duty at Ft. Hood. I had my little camera up in cheap seats. Security told me take it to my car or they'd confiscate it. Had to run out and back, since I was in Army at time could do that quickly. Great concert, quick changes of outfits and just good music.

I understand that Rod was about 40 years old when this Video was made. The (Mob Guy), ? looks familiar because I believe he was a very famous Heavy, (Bad Guy) in the movies of the 40s and 50s. 83 was an amazing time- Disco had run out in 1980, Punk like the Cars and all the Punk bands were in full swing. In 1985 the Big Hair bands took over for five years, then came the Grunge Seattle times? This video proves that before there was Internet, Cell Phones, Computers, We Survived. IBM PC junior and Video game Parlors were big in 83. Foosball Parlors went out in about 1980 and Tournament SOccer tables went bankrupt about that time. I hope Tournament Soccer and Table Foos makes a return one day. It would be nice to start a high end Sandwich shop with a Foos Parlor in it. Those were the Days, My Respects, Rod. RH DSD

15 July 1984 St Louis MO, Gatway Hotel up on the 10th floor or there abouts, courtesty of the US Army. Processing into the Army the next day at St. Louis MEPS statation. Watching MTV and and looking out a single pane window down at the barren dark street below thinking, this is a crossroad in my life. This video was on, will never forget that night.
