If you look at the fight again, Rodtang was setting up for the elbow KO. He knew the spinning back elbow must come as per the first round. What a clever fighter he is. That’s a warrior mentality. He adapts to the fight to win.

Tabares made a crucial mistake with the spinning elbow against the fence. He was landing it repeatedly, but Rodtang of course picked up on it and Tabares couldn't evade properly due to lack of space. He did great though. Very impressed.

before anyone says that nobody is close to Rodtang - keep in mind that Rodtang ducked Superlek 2 times already. When Superlek destroyed Danial Williams and Walter Goncalves he was supposed to fight Rodtang both times. Also there are tons of super strong Muay Thai fighters with great punches like Rodtang. There's Anuwat Keawsamrit who could punch so fast that he knocked out Lerdsila. There's also Pornsanae Sitmonchai, Samson Isaan, Lakhin Wassandasit, Saensak Muangsurin, and many many fighters from the 1980s-1990s who are just as scary as Rodtang but have more impressive careers. There's also Yodlekphet Or. Atchariya who also fought in ONE. Yodlekphet can punch harder than Rodtang not to mention that Yodlekphet has more impressive wins in his career than Rodtang does. In fact Yodlekphet is the first guy on record who forced Rodtang to move backwards. The #1 P4P fighter in the entirety of ONE Champion is actually Panpayak Jitmuangnon who is Rodtang's teammate! They've been training together in the Jitmuangnon gym for years. Unfortunately backfoot fighters like Panpayak get criticized by casuals for preferring to avoid damage as martial artists should, so he doesn't get to fight much in ONE even though he can.

Rodtang es uno de los mejores de la historia de muay, es muy bueno y tecnico y tiene mucha valentía no se asusta con ninguno y lo han puesto siempre con la élite pero ninguno pudo con el, ha dado para mi gusto las mejores peleas de la historia de muay, el nivel de hoy en día es increíble y difícil y más en su peso, se puede sentar tranquilamente en la mesa de los grandes como senchai y buakaw y más sabiendo que los entrenamientos hoy en día son más especializados que antes mejores dietas , etc... eso sí antiguamente era más peligroso por las reglas
