I saw this show when I was no more than 10 years old back in the 60's. It was my introduction to Humphrey Bogart. He has since become one of my favorite actors.

This was the first thing I saw of Bogart when I was 10 years old besides a couple of Warner Brothers cartoons, back in 1963!

One of the greatest episodes of this great series. I can’t help but weep over the nostalgia.

Humphrey Bogart one of the great star on the silver screen was very talented but he was also very charismatic. He got an Oscar for "The African Queen." Lauren Bacall and Bogart were a fabulous couple. He left behind him that classification of a Broadway juvenile, he made his performances count over the years. "Take me for what I am or not at all"

i enjoyed this series so much as a kid. the lifestyle of heavy smoking (including Cotton) took so many stars and all the rest.

Bogart was one of the great actors of an era--a very great talent. The memoirs of Lauren Becall, David Niven and Alistair Cooke are good sources of information about a great man whom they all admired.

Film's all-time champion in screen presence. He was only remotely rivaled by Garbo & Brando as a film lead. In "The Maltese Falcon" he appeared in all but one scene and dared the viewer to take their eyes of him. Still to this day, he created more singularly memorable fictional characters (Duke Mantee, Sam Spade, Rick Blaine, Fred C. Dobbs, Capt.Queeg, Charlie Allnut) than any other film actor. It's also, hard to think of any other actor making as many good to great films as he did. I still think "The Treasure of the Sierra Madre" is the greatest American film of all-time.

No wonder they got along well. Two native New Yorkers, they were married and the chemistry, the glamour, the sex appeal set them apart from others actors. May Bacall and Bogart RIP.

Hi Rod, I love your postings. You are the best with Warner Bros films. THANK YOU. Question, Do you have ''the angry screen'' I thought you did. I see someone else has it and messed with it terribly. I hope you have it. Thanks

Yeah, me either. Not that he's bad, but not special. But there have always been stars who weren't anything to write home about, we have them now too, nothing weird about it I guess.
