My two Son's was Racing in the 80's and We were at the same races as George and His family! My boys were in the smaller classes but they watched His Boys and learned from just watching and talking. We even bought a set of leathers from them for My oldest Son Jess had out grown them. In the 60's I grew up in California and Dad and I went to all the Half miles and Miles races and the Sacramento Mile was the first time I saw George Roeder Race. In 1964 My Dad was from Ohio and While there on vacation in the Marion Ohio Area We went to Marysville Ohio and saw Him race there and He won that race that night I was 12 at the time.My family Moved to Ohio in 1966 and That is why I still Live in Ohio it was the center of Flat Track Country and I still at 74 love watching the Races!

Came over to see the AMA flattrack series was lucky enough to meet Mr Roeder and also at the final round where my good friend Scotty Parker took the title at Del Mar they also had Mr Roeder doing a demo lap on an XR 750 his times I believe would have got him into the programme a great man and also to see Jay Springsteen doing demonstation laps on the TZ750 these flatttrack people are the best.
