@@0gemss if they're decent so why there are only mage with quest line? Because other mage decks cannot stand meta decks. And even that mage with quest have it's own issues. I have never seen big mage, ping mage, quest mage (that one with dawngrasp) and etc because they're not so powerful to stand metadecks. So this is not people problem that they like nasty abuse of infinity turns. Mage players just don't have good alternative beside this deck

What I'm getting from this is that circular legendary spells from Whizbang's Workshop win the game. There's Galactic Projection Orb for Mage and Wheel of Death for Warlock. I think we can all expect the miniset to have Hypersphere of Cosmic Brutality in Shaman.

I think the best way to fix the deck is to make it so the Time Warp only works if you're not currently in the middle of an extra turn. This way you can still have the fun synergies with Vexallus or Ashzara and can repeat with Romnath, but you can't take infinite turns and it makes it harder to make large chains since you only have the 10 or so mana.

I mean, his first opponent was a demon hunter that did nothing for 5 turns which is not normal for the format whatsoever. Most wild decks that are actually real can go under quest mage quite comfortably

The funny part is how bad Quest Mages are. I play a homebrew "honourable" Fatigue mage, and I've won so many games where they have taken 10+ more tuns just because they manage them so badly and I have not let them build any board and am at 60 total hp.

If you really hate it just play miracle rogue. You draw all your minions by turn 5 every game and you play Loatheb 5 times in a row with giants. Legit 99% matchup.

I play that quest mage, but my own version which is very slow and does not have infinite turns, and I find it annoying that some people auto concede when seeing that quest without even knowing what I'm playing. But to be fair, I also auto concede against some decks such as plague DK, even shaman, control shudderwock or super aggro decks.

At least Questline Warlock benefits from 10 extra health. I genuinely do not see the point in running Prince Renathal in Questline Demon Hunter.

I don't think I play a single deck without Renathal, that card is just so good, to be able to add extra cards in your deck and get extra health as bonus. Oh yeah, I don't have it in my Pure Paladin deck, but just because I can't, and I feel not normal playing with that few cards and health.

@@maouf9843 except not. Adding 9 extra cards that didn’t make the cut in the 30 card deck is a serious downside. Think of it like this: Deck thinning is why patches has such a high win rate. In general players would mostly prefer fewer cards, which is why every card game has a minimum deck size. Sometimes the ten health is worth the downside but consistency is what wins games

i run vexallus in mine cause I don't have queen azshara, the card is really good sometimes but on average it just sits in your hand doing nothing tbh. The only time it's good is when you can vexallus into a biscuit, finish quest, play time warp and rewind

you should hard mulligan for infinitize the maxitude or the 2 cost spell that gives you 2 spells in most matchups. Games with infinitize on 2 vs games without it are really different, you should usually maximize how often you get it early

If the sole reason to play the deck is to have as many turns as we'd like (isn't 100 the max?) then I'd imagine a non-highlander version would do much-much better. ETC -> Potion -> Rommath is infinite turns if you don't play garbage spells that fill your hand up from Rommath. Drop in Fizzile and you can use up all the remaining turns on your own!

Trading does not shuffle. It used to originally but was changed to puting the card at a random spot in deck without shuffling other cards. It was done for the sake of dredge and other precise deck manipulations. You just can't constantly shuffle cards with half the good cards when the other half puts them in specific order or shows where they are.😄

I don't think it's dying, but there is certainly a bot problem. I mostly stick to arena because of it, although I'm not good at arena.

But using the quest is no fun. I like to use the orb to recast all of the yogg spells! I mean, just imagine. The Orb if it has the coin and Potion of illusion as their only 0 and 4 cost spells, the Parrot becomes an infinite combo! If anyone's curious, the spells I use in my deck are; Coin Arcane Bolt Stargazing Ice Block Potion of Illusion Star Power Disco at the End of Time Mask of CThun Yogg-in-the-Box Rune of Archmage Yogg-Box And this deck is unironically really fun, with some work, I think it could be a semi-viable deck
