@@MrOrigin120 well, snapdragon is going to close the single core gap big time with 8 gen 4. i mean currently the a17 pro leads in single core by like 50% margin which is huge. but 8 gen 4 may cut that lead to like 20% against a18 pro. also, snapdragon is going ham with their gpu with 8 gen 4. they will be using a completely new architecture this time(adreno 800 series). also, lpddr6 is highly likely to be supported by 8 gen 4, at least on the highest end phones. samsung is pushing hard for the new memory and we may see it debut on s25 series.

The reason optimization works well with CPU and apple makes one of the most powerful CPU in smartphones. If only Snapdragon focuses on CPU, it has the potential to beat A Bionic chips. Otherhand, Apple needs to put 2 more cores to be ahead then Snapdragon. Cuz if Snapdragon once focuses on CPU, it will nearly close the gap of A Bionic CPU

So I have an S24 Ultra and a 15 Pro Max currently. The settings are on higher end on the pro max and the ultra is limited for some reason. I will say that for me my ultra heated up way faster than my pro max did. Took like 10 minutes of mg iphone and took like 2 minutes on my ultra.

PLEASE READ THIS COMMENT!! I've been testing this game with s24plus and use the app cpu float to moniter all 8 cores cpu frequency and GPU frequency. The gpu almost never reaches the maximum of 1000mhz. It seems to be around 500 to 700mhz on high settings at 120fps. DONT pay attention to other apps that show a percentage of usage only! the clock speed is what really matters when determining "usage"

How is it possible that the ROG phone can get these results, but the Samsung s24 (which is overclocked) can't get anywhere near those FPS numbers? The samsung should be scoring the best. GOS is turned off and plugins installed. S24U is being held back by software limitations to Power draw and also OC chip. Overclocking is usually a bad thing as this causes device to overheat faster, throttle, and uses higher power draw.

Optimising for android is like optimizing games for pc. Lot of varieties. Optimizing games for console is easy, just 2or3 hardware, but for pc dozens of combination and drivers. Like that there’re dozens of android devices with various specs, that all in slightly different aspect ratios and needed to be optimized. IPhones are easy for developers, just 4 models each year, 4 devices with same chip and all with same ratio. Many developers said that optimizing apps for iOS is easy for them. But android is required to get its massive user base, just like the PC situation.

iPhones don't let other apps run in the background except for Apple's own apps. That's why you're getting better numbers sometimes. But it's really annoying when you're trying to get work done on your phone. Like, if you want to upload a huge file to Google Cloud and make a call at the same time, you can't do that on an iPhone. Your point about gpu usage percentage is wrong.. using 100% of the gpu doesnt mean there is no more headroom for peak.. it just means that at peak it will run will lower fps.. thats all.. also if the game uses 100% of cpu and gpu it means its well optimised and not leaving performance on the table

nice review and also notes about resolution, graphics (as most likely it's not just resolution, but additional effects, view distance or who knows), etc. The only thing I have to say is that clearly the ROG drops to 15PM level after 6-7 minutes into the test so for long gaming session the experience will be quite similar regarding FPS. Basically if you do the same for 1 hour testing it will be 15PM most likely who wins.

It won't beat the redmagic or rog 8 Pro due to no software based thermal/power consumption restrictions, but I do believe the A17 Pro can beat the SD8G3 found in Galaxy and OnePlus devices where there are software based performance restrictions. Apple has it too, hence why we see the iPhone dropping down frames despite thermals and GPU/CPU usuage being low. Once power consumption reaches a certain level, performance drops. This is why the S24U performed not so great when compared to the rog 8 Pro

If you use ROG, I recommend not using X mod because it doesn't always have maximum performance. If you want maximum performance, use advanced mode ,Now, if you are in advanced mode, select settings, then select performance, if you have set everything to the right if you want to maximum peformance

The test is not balanced, because High graphics + Uncapped gives 120fps, but Peak graphics limits Uncapped at 60fps, so maybe you can do a retest with Iphone with High + Uncapped to show the balance

Unfortunately I'm not really into codm. I tried to get into to it but I prefer games similar to the PC experience. Warzone Mobile is the first shooter than brings this experience to mobile (as long as you have a high tier device). Prior to warzone, new state mobile was the closest we had.

It's more of a preference now. For warzone, it's more like graphics go for the iPhone. If you want the best fps performance, then go for Rog 8 Pro.

Hi. While playing the game in any quality, the GPU will be utilized to push max frames at that graphics level. You keep the ROG to Mid graphics for the game, still the GPU would run almost 100 percentage. You would get about 100 FPS avg. The ROG can run high graphics are about 80-90 fps. The test that you did is not an ideal scenario of people while they play the game. They use an external cooler or at least hold the phone on hand to get that back case get some air to breath. The ROG definitely can handle the peak graphics at a little lower fps but definitely better than the iPhone. The inconsistency of the ROG FPS is due to the thermal throttling. Please run the test with the given Aero cooler. It will definitely perform better. The game needs offline assets/maps/operators to perform better. These are definitely doable from the developers.

Also so Sir, the Rog 8 fps looks a bit low , I play via 55 Inch tv via HDMI -USB C on 1440p 120hz and I did not see so low fps.. either the Red Magic 9 P its lying on fps because sometimes looks slow but fps looks 75 ish .

I have 15 pro max and trust it lags in between and you cannot screen record while playing if your gyro is on it makes ur aim glitchy and its u playable

You would have to use a cooler, so you don't 🔥 I use the fun cooler 2pro and it keeps my iPhone 15pro Max at 13° playing warzone at maximum resolution and maximum fps, it's probably because of the heat 👍🏻

@@joseboladoguerrero805 it is not because of the heat because as soon as i start recording my phone runs in low fps and in pubg as soon as i start recording it limits to 70-80 fps In early ios 17 it was working fine and to get full fps i would need to record but now its opposite I know its hard to understand but it is what it is🥲

@@AryanBharucha Have you tried in every way? Lowering the resolution or lowering fps, you have a comparison recording on the screen here on KZbin s24u, 15pm, pixel8pro and all heat up and fail..

The Rog only had that high of an average FPS due to being 120 Hz in the beginning and chipping down after 2 minutes before staying at around 60 like the iPhone. I'd say the iPhone was better for being more consistent even though it had higher graphics. But as it was you who actually played the game and experience the differences I respect your opinion.
