The JSAUX is really good the only issue is the fit on the top. It’s not completely snug which is a shame. JSAUX should add the flaps like the killswitch has

That is a shame that the fit isn’t as snug. The material is softer and more stretchy. Flaps would be nice to help keep the shape when installing. Their price point is great for the quality you get. Half the price of the killswitch.

For the KillSwitch, the snap case gets a bit looser as you use it. What bugs me more is that you can't remove the kickstand. I almost want to cut it off. I have a nice Ugreen dock I can't use anymore because the kick stand get's in the way.

You might be able to knock that pin out with a pin punch enough to grab and pull it out. It looks like it can be knocked out from the left side to the right.

Yeah, my biggest complaint with the jsaux case is that the top lip doesn't grab the ally very well. It's raised ever so slightly and makes using the fingerprint reader annoying,

Yes, the process is the same in the video for the Ally X install. The only catch is that there’s problem with the October Drivers and the internal display of the Ally X. I left some warning notes in the description to reference. It works fine with an external display and the OneXgpu and with the Ally X by itself. Installing the August drivers will make everything work. Follow this guide step by step (and the links in the description) and it’ll work. 😊👌

Just got my Skull & Co for the X after loving it on my orginal Ally. And its great for its very cheap price. I do like the Killswitch a lot as it looks the cleanest of the bunch but that price tag is ridiculous compared to what you get with the Skull and Co. But then again its a euro device so its not that bad in comparison.

Yeah, the price is definitely at a premium compared to both the skull & co. and the Jsaux cases. Skull & co. is the only I still use with the original Ally. The open vents are great with my backplate and it’s really comfortable.

On my Legion Go it the skin starting to get loose after a few month. I don’t think this Ally X skin will have the same using when using with the killswitch case because the skin is “case hardened” and the killswitch is holding all the edge I had problems with deep under it secured tightly. But we’ll see lol.

I’ve heard that the Ally X one stretches the top when you put it on then after a few days it should pull back to form still not tight though. Is yours loose on the top? The dbrand one is a solid but comes with that premium price tag. I really like it though.

Hey! There is a Jsaux for the Rog Ally X. I have a link to it in the description. Jsaux is half the price and a great product. It’s not as tight of a fit as the killswitch because Jsaux uses a much softer material. I don’t use the Jsaux anymore because my modded backplate doesn’t line up with the vent holes for Jsaux. I did like it though.

My favourite is the killswitch for overall premium quality, tight fit, and full protection (I use the cover daily) with the best sweaty grip in my opinion because it’s the most course. If you skin the obsidian skin, they’ll also send you the triple black with it typically (2 for 1 skin pick). The killswitch just went on a Black Friday sale today. My second would be the skull and co for the open back on the vents and comfort. Sweaty grip rating I’d give in par with the jsaux one. No kickstand but it can self stand upright with the flat bottom. No front cover but the best if you plan on replacing the back cover with an aftermarket coloured or transparent one when they eventually release. Probably will have a sale for Black Friday too. The jsaux one is also on sale for Black Friday. Feedback on the Ally X one is that the top stretches when you put it on. Take a few days to retract but not quite snug. Has the front cover (which I love) and the grip is the softest. Again, sweaty grip rating not as good with the soft grip. dbrand.com/shop/catalog/rog-ally-x

@calvin3941 You’re welcome! Thanks for the sub! I appreciate it. Spoiler, the full X1 is my favourite device but I have the Intel version because there wasn’t an AMD available at the time. So… I bought the X1 mini 8840u when they released it for the AMD experience - also great. Onexplayer is going to be releasing a new the X1 series with new AMD chips and I’ll definitely buy one of those. The Ally will always hold a special place in my heart and the Ally X filled it even more. It’s a such a solid travel, budget, and in country support friendly device for North America especially with the Best Buy store fronts. I prefer the jsaux matte screen protector 2 pack(anti glare) over the dbrand high and price glossy glare single pack one. The case is really good with any screen protector. Amazon has the jsaux ones too and last prime day they were on sale so I expect they will be on Black Friday too. I’m curious which skin you’ll pick? Haha

So upon receiving the Jsaux it didn’t fit right and I was pretty upset. It didn’t fit like the jsaux for the steam deck. After a couple days of leaving it on, it seemed to mold and form better and now it fit flush to the screen. Hope this helps someone.

@@derekdrozdzak mine is a solid straight line across the whole top. The entire case is snug. I use control freek thumb grips too with no issues. The top cover doesn’t have that snappy feel at the bottom like I think it should but it holds and sits flush to the screen now.

Ah it’s a new kit item. Thanks for clarifying! I just found it on their website. The cooling fans are a separate kit. I don’t have it. What I do use is a cooling stand for all my handhelds when I’m at a desk or docking it with the OneXGPU to keep the temps down (it works great). I imagine the fans for the mod case would yield similar results.

You’re welcome! 😊 I love the OneXGPU 2 (and 1) for my handhelds! My 4080 gaming laptop doesn’t even get used anymore lol. I have a lot of videos with different handhelds and games using it if you want to see some performance gains. Gaming on a handheld is just a super chill break from working on a laptop. Being able to just dock it and get a huge performance boost is awesome. Also means you don’t feel like you have to upgrade the handheld at every new release (unless you like playing with new tech like me 😅). It’s the “Nintendo switch” dream if the dock actually made it be able to play great at 1440p and 4k (depending on the game of course). Of course you could buy a gaming laptop or pc for a great price but frankly an Rog Ally X and the OneXGPU cost me less than my 4080 laptop and it performs on par or better in some games. Gives me the best of everything and still maintains travel portability. It’s a great companion to a handheld PC in my opinion, experience, use cases. 😁👌

The skull & co is slightly more pronounced on the backside. They extended it a little further so that the grips can act like a stand with the flat bottoms.

It should because of how tight it clips too and bottom. But, it wouldn’t cover the full front because the bottom right and left corners are angled to the grip. The skull & co grip doesn’t fill the space in those corners like the killswitch or jsaux ones.

Thanks! 😊🫶 No, I haven’t watched his video yet but I did see the thumbnail pic and it looks similar to the 3D printed Etsy ones for the Legion Go. I had printed the Legion go ones and yeah, they were a lot better but the Legion go didn’t have any true grip options. I personally wouldn’t pull off my grippy full protection case (with sweat resistance too) on my expensive Ally X to rock only the plastic grips. I also don’t want to be taking the case in and off for travel protection and stretching it out. I’m assuming those are 3D printed ones too, right?
