i don't know if it's worth the price, but this does seem like a very premium keyboard compared to your average gaming keyboard. I think the only downsides are the keycaps, the price, no RT and needing to use armoury crate.

While the ROG Azoth Extreme is definitely a solid and feature-packed gaming keyboard, the price tag is definitely hard to swallow especially for the mainstream market. If the price goes down to less than 350USD or below Php 20k would you consider it then? 🤔
@jonahjameson2723 ай бұрын
Yep I almost bought the clicky snows but went back to the aisle and got the linear! If the Extreme had a wider lcd screen I would be more interested for now the regular will have to do

I have the rog azoth 75 og. It's legit good. Even the switches are good enough where I'm not in a rush to upgrade. I'll say though that 500usd will make me look at other keyboards from the true experts, keychron, nuphy, zoom, etc. They made the keyboard look a lot more fancy and put carbon fiber on it to justify the price increase, but that's not goint to make me buy it for 500, not even 400. Maybe for 200-250 I'd be interested. I'd rather have a custom keyboard done for that price or actually, I'd rather have multiple keyboards. I'm good with the rog azoth og. I'm also getting the keychron q1 max as my second bae though. Lemme ask Asus this though. Why didn't you also make a special refined tactile switch? No love for tactile? I'm focused on the typing experience and how much quicker it can make me, tactiles are perfect for that.

I'll give it to Asus for how much more they added on top of the Azoth. But 500$? Sheesh. The MSRP on the original Azoth was hard to swallow at 250$. The keyboard space has been offering some crazy value stuff for much less than what Asus' trying to sell. I own the regular Azoth but only because it went on sale a couple of months ago for 130-140$. The idea of paying twice/thrice as more is sheesh..

Wirelss functionality that can be used for 4 days when you want all features turned on, no HE, no RT, LED brighness very low according to other reviews. All that for just 500USD amazing. Doesent matter if you build the whole thing from carbon at this point.

Thank you so much my kind sir, In my opinion, the HD3 is a good bang for the buck speakers. If I didn't had the opportunity to get the HD6, I'm still going to be perfectly happy with my HD3. My HD3 is now on our bedroom paired with our LG C2 OLED TV and it's a match made in heaven!

lol what the heck does ASUS think they’re selling? Gold? - It’s not even comparable to a wooting which is half the price. Awesome review btw. Good work.
@TechBroll4 ай бұрын
They need to reduce the price to make it viable to consumers. I’m pretty sure they will also jump into the hall effect and rapid trigger bandwagon soon but it definitely could help the case for the Azoth Extreme if it already has those features considering the current price. Maybe they are targeting this model to a completely different audience but still, it won’t hurt to be safe by having those modern features on their “flagship” keyboard

I have an important question! Is it possible to rebind the screenshot key from FN + P to the function knob? Because I want to take a simple screenshot with just a little button press, as on a usual keyboard, by usually pressing Win + Print Screen. If it works on this one, by pressing/turning the Win + function knob to save a screenshot to my screenshots' folder or just press/turn the function knob to save a screenshot to the clipboard, I think it should also work on the Strix Scope II 96 Wireless. I would appreciate it if you could take a quick look at it in the software, because I have found no one doing or even trying this after days of searching. Or it's just not possible.

Do you ever get to have the S8 sub to pair it with your HD6? Im still on market for a good sub and not sure which the Klipsch 120SW also SVS SB 1000 pro is my top choice for now.
@paolocoletti34244 ай бұрын
I would have auditioned those HD6's but Audioengine didn't incl a headphone jack on the front (or the back either !) like the smaller HD3's so was an absolute non starter for me. This means one would have to use ones own external DAC to have volume control with cans rather than using AE's built in one (using the Asahi Kasei Microdevices AK4396 chip). Which rather renders it pointless and dim and a huge omission on their part. I used the money saved to get a S8 sub tho which is rather a game changer with the teenie HD3's and really is like night and day improvement overall.
@TechBroll4 ай бұрын
Yes I have the S8 paired with my HD6 and in my opinion, a subwoofer is a must for the HD6. The HD3 on the other hand is good enough without the S8 but also could definitely benefit from it. I have a dedicated video for that comparison here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y6GweoCBjdx4ebc

Adding carbon fiber makes it $500, which I think is bad engineering. You don't need its strength on a keyboard.
2 ай бұрын
It's not about adding strength. It's about adding the tensile strength for flex. Metal doesn't allow that. The carbon allows for less vibration (and also some shock absorption). The end result is usually better acoustics and feel.
@axismachineriesandfabricat33362 ай бұрын
Ok. Given you are right about the tensile strength and vibration, do you really believe it is worth it for the price? For that little improvement? I do believe there are lots of cheaper alternatives in terms of material and design. Talking about acoustics, you can have better acoustics by just changing the physical design or implementation while keeping the same materials. That's why some keyboards sounds better than the other, having same dampening and casing materials but just differed in implementation. And don't forget that this is a gaming keyboard. Did Asus even marketed thisa as luxury keyboard? How could you spend a lot in just an improved tensile strength and acoustics? Performance is the main criteria in gaming keyboard market, not just the feel and acoustics. These are the reasons why I said it has bad engineering.
