My late mother was a member of "success meeting " and there was always festivities during Chrismas times. Rogana, Ubulu, Agu Risky, Danny K were always staging each other in mainstream streets of Obiaruku! Brings back feelings of nostalgia, what wonderful times ! I thank my late grandfather "Sir Ejechi" for the intro and apologize for scratching your turntable, we didn't know the sweetness of Ukwali melodies at the time....RIP FELLOWS !

Listening to this music today poured back memories of wayback to my home town when everybody would be playing and jumping around with little or no worries and dance to this music as if they were no tomorrow. Great Delta

Wow! My goodness!! I love this song sooooo much!!! It takes me back memory lane when I arrived Lagos in the late 80s. I lived at Beesam Mafoluku, Lagos. I had a neighbour whom we called "Omo-Bendel". He never stopped to play this track amongst other melodious Delta Igbo songs. In fact he "corrupted" me with "Egwu Ukwuani" in particular. Lol! Back then, we Igbos of East of Naija and our "brothers across the sea", the likes of Omo Bendel, Dee Eke (an Obiaruku man) appreciated one another as brethren. We would introduce them to our kinsmen during Kindred and Village meetings as our brothers from Bendel. Likewise, they did same. Nowadays, the story is different. The ever-growing hatred Aniomas especially Ukwuani people have towards us Igbo of South-Eastern Nigeria is so alarming. It is unfortunate that you guys have allowed "our common enemies" (well known to all of us) to sow seed of discord amongst us. My fear now is that so many of my fellow Igbos from South Eastern Nigeria especially our youths are beginning to realise how much you hate them and in no time would reciprocate accordingly. Why do you hate us so much? If it is based on the premise that Igbo people are bad and evil, then that is an error as there are good and bad people everywhere. Would you say that you have never come across any nice Igbo person even in your Church? Food for thought: how would you feel if after leaving this earth (and having been transformed as spirit beings) you suddenly realise that your ancestors are Igbos and not what you have been meant to believe? I do not think that living in self denial (of who you truly are) and rewriting your history will change your true identity. You bear Igbo names, speak a dialect of Igbo language, etc yet you still hate them so much. My last shot: No one is compelling anyone to love another person (I mean to love somebody no be by force), but then you must not forget that HATING on someone or people (justifiably or not) is SIN against God. Long live Anioma people! Long live Igbo People!! Long live Nigeria!!!

Ukwuani is an Igbo dialect. Nobody can change that. And know plenty Ukwuani people who know that being Ukwuani makes them Igbo too. Blood is thicker than water.
