I’m a CODA (child of deaf adult) who plays D&D often with my family. I would love to see more D&D content.

I am so darn excited to see DND content here! I'm a second year ASL student that is interested in incorporating signing into more of my life, and being able to watch Deaf DND content is an absolute dream!

Rogan, it's awesome to see you back with some more D&D content! When I saw the first couple of minutes of this video, where you were DMing for your players, and they introduced themselves, my jaw dropped -- as an English teacher and linguistics hobbyist, I can totally see the expressive value of ASL. I'm also excited for 'the big project', but would like to know if you ever plan on uploading any of your personal, home games. The language guy in me would LOVE to watch a game as a way to try to practice, pick up, and learn some of the language, myself... either way, though thanks for the video! (Oh, and for coming on my channel for an interview, too!)

Oh, and that art for your character was INCREDIBLE! Can't wait to watch the game...!

I would LOVE to upload the first one-shot I did, but I’ve been struggling with getting the whole thing to export properly. Once I get that figured out, it’ll be uploaded! As for other games, we’ll have to see. I would love to be putting out more ASL D&D!

I'm a huge nerd and would love to see more DnD content! (Hell, I'd love an actual play/stream, which I almost never say, but completely understand the challenges you listed).

This is so exciting!!! When you said you played with Aabria I got so excited I slapped my leg so hard it still hurts. I am so so happy for you to have this opportunity!!! I hope this is just the beginning of something amazing. I've been obsessed with Deaf DnD since your last video, I really hope we get to see more in the future!!! Collaborative story telling can be a life changing experience when you have the right people involved.

I hope so too! It would be amazing to do more like this. I agree, collaborative storytelling is the best

I watched both parts of the Galesong gameplay streams live this week and it was SO GOOD! I loved your outfit, makeup, and earrings, it was a very thematic and cool look. In general I love D&D and am interested to see more in ASL. Thank you for sharing some other places to find that kind of content and your interview as well!

I’m glad you enjoyed it!! It was very fun figuring out what I would wear for the shoots 😁

Was waiting for my video to start from a distance only to wait for like 5 minutes to realize it’s all sign language 🤣

Love the D&D related videos! I’ve seen some fantastic ASL-only groups, but it was also cool to see you on the D&D Beyond campaign with full access. If I got an interpreting assignment like that I’d be over the moon!

The D&D Beyond campaign is on DDB’s KZbin! You probably can find it by searching for Galesong 😁

Great video! One podcast/stream I know that has quality captions is Dimension 20. Their current campaign is a dark fairytale theme but they have many past seasons! Would love to watch your group play if you're able to get streams working

Also, I have a question. Many people give their characters voices or accents. Do your players give their characters a unique style of signing?
@RoganShannon13 Жыл бұрын
Yes, Dimension 20 is my top favorite show. It's how I got deep into D&D actually! The current campaign is SO good. Sometimes! If they remember to do it during play ha!

@@RoganShannon13 Awesome! I kind of figured once you said you were an Aabria stan haha. I'm glad you're enjoying Neverafter too, I can't wait to see how it goes!

Thanks for the video. Am an interpreting student and our cohort is going to try and run a game this semester. Any tips on signs for d&d related things would be great!!! Thanks for sharing
@RoganShannon13 Жыл бұрын
Sounds awesome! Right now, we don't really have any formal signs for D&D specific terms, but there is a group within the DTGO discord that plans to have sessions for discussing signs, so hopefully there'll be some videos out in the future with those! However, when I play/DM, I tend to use the abbreviations when I ask for a roll from the core stats like DEX, CON, etc. If I ask for a more specific roll, I usually sign what the word means if there isn't already a sign for that word.

@@RoganShannon13 thanks a ton!!!! I have to try out discord. Am really glad I found your videos. The more places and ways people sign help a lot. Thanks again
